So what now with the safeties...

What we know...

FS and SS are often interchangeable in the Panthers scheme. All players can play either.

Adams and Coleman are probably the best starting tandem we have seen in a long while.

Colin Jones in the game at safety is not desirable.

Sean Marlowe is well thought of but often injured and unproven.

The Panthers have a couple other young guys. Not much is known.

Brian Blechen is now listed as a safety. Last year he was a linebacker. He filled in as emergency safety last preseason and actually looked pretty good. He played SS in college.

So , overall are we in better shape or worse shape than last season?

What I know is that we've been wanting better safeties since 2007. I even wanted Michael Griffin that year and unfortunately, got that wish granted way too late.

Basically, the answer to the safety position has usually been not on our roster. May end up going that route again.

I'd say better than last year, just because we have Mike Adams now. He's an upgrade on the defense, and remember that Tre Boston was a starter before.

Could we use depth? Sure, but better than last year by a small margin.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27
    • Your intelligence is artificial.
    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
