Ealy says the Patriots are different

Ealy, who played with the Carolina Panthers from 2014 to 2016 before being traded to the Patriots this offseason, met with the media Tuesday at Gillette Stadium and didn’t want to expound on his three-sack Super Bowl 50 performance nor his impending free agency. He would give his initial impressions of being a Patriot, however. “Just the way they do things are totally, totally different, but it’s a good kind of different,” Ealy said. “Just enjoying the process as I go forward.” So what makes it so different? “Just the attention to detail is the most thing that sticks out that Coach Bill preaches on and off the field,” Ealy said. “That could be in any different categories, but just being attentive.”

Patriots additions have started digging into their playbooks, but until Ealy actually gets on the field for organized team activities, he’s not sure how he’ll fit into New England’s defensive system. “It’s too early on right now,” Ealy said. “Right now, it’s just about the process and just about getting better each and every day. Those things will come along as the season progresses.”

So...there is attention to details....that  is what he likes but can only say it is being attentive.  And the details are so good he does not know how he will fit into the Pats D. Other than that..rest assured he is in a much better system. He is going to get better every day.  Wish he would have come up with that idea while in Carolina.

That being said...best wishes to him.

Wouldn't be in the Panthers two deep right now and is supposed to dominate from day 1 there with an inferior front 7?  I don't believe it.

Moving back also cost them their draft target Dan Feeney.

If you have read or watched much on Bill B, you know that he is super detail oriented.

IMO, it't his, and somewhat Brady's attention to said details that have kept them so weirdly successful.

That, and he isn't scared to cut or move on from anyone, at anytime.

We would've released him anyways. He could work out in NE (I find it highly unlikely and even still he's a FA after the year) but they could've had him later for free if they wanted.

Why are people getting defensive over Ealy's statement?  It's common knowledge that Bellichek runs that team like a well oiled machine. To say he's more detail oriented than Rivera and the Panthers coaching staff is more than likely a true statement.

I am not being defensive...some of you did not get my point.  He could not justify what he said...his "detail' point was defined as being attentive.  And...he has so much detail he does not have a clue what he will be doing.  Lame attempt IMHO.

That sounds almost word for word what Brandon Lafell said a few years ago.  I thought I was reading the same article.

Just a bunch of cliche phrases strung together to make a dumb offseason article.

    • You honestly think Tampa would have traded down with a division rival so their rival could land a “generational player” at a massive position of need for TB?   bruh
    • Ya'll better quit throwing shots at Zod. He'll come in here and ban everybody. I had a friend @prosource who was banned in 2015 because he said some very minor things about Zod being an ass to the posters on the main forum after starting the All-Pro one. He said he felt like another level is cool, but don't punch down on people that don't want All-Pro. (He did say that it wasn't going to last long anyways.🤔) I distinctly remember him calling and being like "dude, I got banned, my profile says I don't have access to the Huddle!") I feel like once Tepper came in and cut off all unofficial access to the team, Zod was going to be around less. The All-Pro board had really good photos, even in game stuff, and I remember seeing him behind a little fenced in area at Wofford for non team sanctioned press/photographers after Tepper bought the team. I knew then his ego wouldn't allow him to continue with past fervency and effort with that reduction in access. Dude was literally in the locker room when JR was owner.  I came over in 2011 immediately after finding out this place existed. I was super involved with the Charlotte forum, and fell off after its demise. I will never forget arguing Pep over Ryan Sims on that forum! Who is Ryan Sims some of you may ask? My answer is exactly!
    • And not see him running free. Because has been free a lot more than he gets credit for.    Now what XL does with that when he does see the ball, is on him.
