Can we even afford him? I'd love for Gettleman to get him, he would be a perfect addition to push the rest of our WRs to be better, not to mention he would flat out make us a better, more explosive offense.

Agree w you. I said they'd let him go to keep berry and Poe. He is actually a veteran polished wr.  He'd be the best on our team no doubt. Reid didn't let him go because he is bad .  He was let him go because there is no reason to have him when you have Alex smith.

What exactly do you think Macklin would play for? 3 million? 6 million? 10 million? He is coming off a 12 game season where he had 44 catches for 536 yards. That looks like vet minimum numbers to me.
