PFF - The secret superstars on every NFL roster

CB James Bradberry

2016 snaps: 799

Key stat: Wasn’t beaten for a reception longer than 31 yards all season.

Another impressive rookie cornerback, Bradberry started from day one despite making the step up from Samford college as a second-round draft pick. Exposed badly in Week 1, Bradberry performed very well after that, and showed some spectacular plays in zone coverage consistent with a player of much more experience. He was beaten for an average of just 10.6 all season despite playing on the perimeter and not the slot where catch averages are lower.

our secondary is far from a liability. bradberry is a huge part of that. guy has a bright future ahead of him. both of our sophomore starters do. it's a good feeling.

The first half of last season was brutal but once they hit their stride they played remarkably well. I'm excited about our defense this season.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
