Hurney "isn't sure" he's only interim

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

JR's thinking...

We have a great season = Hurney did a great job, he stays

We have a bad season = Hurney needs to fix this problem, he stays

Hurney has a stoke = Can't fire that man now, he stays

Hurney is found with a dead hooker in his trunk = It could have been worse, he stays

I will be shocked if he's not named GM after the season

Sad to say I agree.

Had the same thoughts as soon as the speculation began that he might come back "temporarily".

Hurney displaying a "well, ya never know" attitude about it is a really really bad sign.

His acknowledgement of it is.

It tells me that at the very least he's open to the possibility if Richardson wants it, and we know Richardson nearly always makes the wrong decision on these things.

If you wanna read more into it, then it's possible to believe the decision is already made and Marty is just being discreet.

The thing to watch will be if there's an actual GM search or they just go through the motions.

So much hate for this guy , Mr. Scot you will be eating crows for  several years down the road and I'll make sure to remind you of it periodically

Where was he hating on him in that quote? And you have have an approximate estimate on how many crows he will be eating? Will they be raw or grilled crows?

Stadium keeps "selling out".

Profits keep going up.

Value of the team continues to rise.

Why have someone Captioning the ship that you don't like if it doesn't matter if you win or not?

I think Autocorrect has decided to toy with you.

But sadly, valid point.

I do believe winning matters to Richardson. It just doesn't matter as much as everybody being able to hold hands and sing around the campfire.

The unfortunate second problem here is that while Richardson may legitimately want to build a winner, he doesn't have the know how to actually accomplish it.

Twice now he's hired someone who actually did, but those guys had personalities that ran counter to goal number one. History has shown us that if you're on the path to goal number two but you interfere with goal number one, you're not long for this team.
