Lil' Newton Leads Howard to an Upset over UNLV in His First Start

Caylin Newton, Cam's little brother, led the Howard Bison (in his first ever start as a true freshman) to a victory over the UNLV Rebels. By point spread (+45), it's the biggest upset in modern history.

I guess it runs in the family.

How was UNLV 45 point favorites over any team?

MEAC teams are generally considered pushovers at the FCS level, nevermind the FBS level (even considering how poor UNLV may be as a FBS program). Add to that Howard having only won 3 games the prior two seasons, and you get a 45 point underdog.

I know but still, UNLV is legit one of the worse teams in the country. Since 2001 they have only one season with a over .500 record. I think Liberty beating Baylor was a bigger upset

    • I only used it because it’s being said he can’t.  I’ve said this 100 times already but these deep passes people get obsessed with are much more on the WR than the QB. If Burrow throws a bomb to Chase and he is either wide open or makes a catch in tight coverage those both are more WR plays than QB to me.  Bryce has shown many flaws but I don’t think throwing the ball 20 yards to a player in coverage is something he or any NFL QB can’t do. He just gets sloppy under pressure and tries some Mahomes type backfoot throws that do require elite arm strength in which he does not have.
    • Again with the straw man arguments. You have Trump level of delusions about this subject.  Here, let me do you in this case.... I don't know if AT fuged your girl or your wife or whatever but your level of hatred towards a guy not even on the team is insane. I can't believe you keep hate watching all these Vikings games as a result. It's crazy behavior but, by all means, you do you.   Now...see how nutty that sounds? Go read this thread and see how emotional you are over something no one in this thread is talking about emotionally.
