How does he help the Bills.....and how does he hurt the Panthers?

I guess the real question is how much.

He knows the playbook.  How much does that help their D?

Is this an issue?

What do you think Webb will tell them that they can't see from film study? The things he could tell them about signals and tendencies, the coaches will work hard to change like they do every game to avoid being predictable.  Let's be honest can't we all largely figure out what is happening on many plays. Doesn't mean you can stop them.

Yeah the head coach being our former defensive coordinator for several years kind of makes anything Webb might offer information wise pretty moot.

Im sure joe can tip them off on a few things, but the one benefit to how we ball is you can either block the guy or you can't.  You can cover a guy or you can't.  We've just got to get better timing with CMC.  He needs live game reps and Cam just needs to knock the rust off.

I would think that the risk is actually higher than the reward for the Bills in using any of his information. Give a look they think they are prepared for based on his information but change it up in such a way to take advantage of how they would attempt to defend it. See CMC usage in game 1.

Joe Webb? Wouldn't you be more worried about, you know, the defensive coordinator that has practiced against our offense for 6 years now (3 years against Shula)?

Joe Webb might have a few hints towards our new scheme, but not enough to fully gameplan for.

Doubt he'd really do much. Either way, Bills do have McDermott and Beane, both who probably have an idea of what the Panthers want to do more-so than any other team.

The fact is we're a mismatch offensively and defensively for their teams. Bad cover linebackers and a run-centric offense are where our team is best at stopping and attacking. Nothing they do will change that. Just need to stick to their weaknesses and we'll come out with a good win.

It's not like we completely overhauled our offense. We are still giving the same looks and playcalls, just with a few new wrinkles added in. Besides, we just have too much talent for it to matter tbh
