Today's offensive performance is on Cam

I'll probably get flamed for this, and I hope that it's still just rust, but today's offensive issues were mainly on cam. Yeh there were blown protections but you expect a couple against a d-line like the bills but today cam missed multiple open throws (miss to mcafferey was inexcusable), Mis-read blitzes and failed to use his check downs when he needed to.

We would have lost this game on any other day and a lot of that is on Cam. The annoying thing is some of it may be rust but other mistakes like reading corner blitzes and using his checkdownz are things he can work on off the field.

If it makes you feel better by all means flame this post and blame everyone else. I'm not saying everyone else on offence was blameless, but Cam needs to get better and soon, a QB of his calibre can not be the reason we lose games in the upcoming weeks.

I have no idea what game you were watching, other than the bad passes to CMC and Dickson, Cam was on point.  That was a great pass to Benji in the endzone that was dropped.  Bad redzone playcalling killed the offense today.

Cam is responsible for the two overthrows to CMC and Ed Dickson. However, Shula and Offensive line take the king's share of blame. Shula doesn't have a pulse to the game as a play-caller. Everyone knows that the Bills strength on defense is their front four but we decide to run the ball instead of play-action or rollouts to mix up the first down play calling. This game called for offense to spread the Bills defense out so that we could run the ball late and get favorable boxes

Cam has always had problems with accuracy and post snap reads of the defense. Early on I had hope that his accuracy would improve even though QBS rarely radically improve their accuracy at the NFL level. That hope is gone.

I am afraid that Cam Newton has peaked at a completion rate south of 60. As he ages and the team convinces him to limit his running (for his health) his inability to read defenses will come more to the fore.

I worry that the relatively late offseason surgery will be used as a crutch for another year of regression. This is depressing.

Cam wasn't blameless, he had 2 or 3 bad passes, but Shula and the OL were faaaaar more at fault.  Shula's obliviousness and predictability were on full display today.  Buffalo had a great front 4, so I'm not gonna hate on the OL too much, but they still played bad.  (I'm not blaming Williams for the two phantom holding calls on him).  RBs ran hard and did what they could with what they had.  WRs played really well.  KB should have held onto that beautiful TD pass, but he did get hit hard.  Just wish he woulda held on to it.  Otherwise, great game from him.

Here's the deal......It's not all on Shula. The sacks on Cam, go take a look at them and how long Cam holds the ball. Cam HAS to be quicker with his reads and decision making. We have weapons. Imagine Aaron Rodgers running this offense. This is mostly on Cam....Now MAYBE receivers aren't getting separation, but this is just too common a theme.

Timeouts don't carry over. I'm not sure how Cam not being able to hear the play calls on two of those timeouts is Shula's fault. It certainly didn't make a difference in the score in the first half.

Are you actually going to sit here and try to defend Shula, after that horse sh*t you just witnessed (as well as the past 6 years)? I mean come on, get a clue. We aren't just talking about a 1 game thing, this has literally been happening ever since Shula was hired, and still isn't fixed. And that's just timeouts, let me not even get into his sh*t situational and flow playcalling. Did you enjoy that wildcat toss? Or how about those stretch runs on 2nd and 1? Or how about running CMC straight into the strength of the Bills D?

The whole thing was bad today. Matt Kalil had a bad game, Williams had a bad game, the play calling wasn't great, and Cam played better, but he did hold the ball too long a couple of times and the two big misses to Dickson and CMC were just horrible for an NFL QB.

"Rivera: They mixed up their rush and got pressure on our quarterback before the routes came open."
