The decision to punt from the NO 35 down 18

I am very anti Jerry Richardson and pro Dave Gettleman. I have been since day 1 and have never wavered. With that said, I can see why others are pro Jerry and anti Dave. I in no way agree with these people, but at the very least I am able to develop an understanding of why they feel the way they do.

I absolutely cannot understand or see any possible way how anyone can support Ron Rivera. He's not a good head coach. It's not shocking to why he was passed over for so many head coaching jobs before landing in Carolina. The guy is allergic adjustments and changes. I don't believe he's fired one person in his tenure. The excuse making he made last year was a joke. He set an example to the rest of the team that excuse making is acceptable.

He needs to go and he needed to go yesterday. His decision to punt in that situation is nothing out of the oridnary, unfortunately.

Im calling it now, if we end with a losing season, we are cleaning house.

You either clean house all at once, or not at all.

You want to bring in a new GM in 18?  Ron has to go.  Any GM that would be worth a damn is going to want his own coaches.

We did this not too very long ago with saddling DG and Ron together...and now it's going to happen again....this is so stupid.

He only riverboats when he think his job is on the line.. at this rate he might as well go ahead and riverboat anyway.

He should be doing it then since it is a possibility that if we continue on like today that he won't be back especially if we do bring in a new GM. They may decide to "clean house" so to say and it would be hard to argue against it.

    • I’m old enough to remember when I wanted to draft Njoku We brought back Mitchell and officially kept Tremble. Mitchell Evans isn’t going anywhere. Sanders who knows, he was awful last year I fully agree we need a better TE. This room is awful Njoku would be a massive help in the red zone. However it really seems like Dan and the FO prefer to go young on offense
    • You’re underselling Loveland imo. He’s so damn good. You can line him out wide and count on him to win 1 v 1. I don’t see that from Sadiq. Loveland is going to go over 1000 yards next season I’m not overly asking for a WR3. It’s just one of the few directions Morgan could go in round 1.  Let’s say Thieneman, Fano and Cooper are all on the board it’s a tough decision. I just don’t see how this team would take Sadiq over some of those guys given the way they run their offense. Our tight end room is easily bottom of the league so I can definitely see why someone would want a tight end though. At one point during the season I was on the Sadiq train as well. I just don’t think value wise for us specifically it makes sense given our team as a whole As far as tight ends go in this draft I really like Max Klare. Very smooth mover
    • Some of you need some serious help with the way 9 lives rent free in your heads I know for a fact, Dan loves Bryce. Bryce is his guy. This offense is very young and they’re asking Bryce to do a lot. With Idzik taking over playcalling duties it’s a move that is another step in the process of Bryce taking control of the offense. 24 years old. This youth movement on offense and putting more on 9’s shoulders is going to pay off in the long run
