This team is better without Benjamin, our only well executed drive of the game came after he went out. Funchess excels in that primary WR role, KB is to slow, and ineffective. This is what we saw his rookie season (he puts up stats, but is a break light to offensive consistency), this is what we saw the year he comes back to a Super Bowl roster, and it is what we saw today. (and the last two weeks) I'm done with Kelvin Benjamin, and I want to see Shepard, Samuel and Funchess get the playing time.

Of all the things wrong with this team, you single out our only legit WR. People need to stop referencing 2015 whenever trying to make a point. It was an anomaly. The way our defense turned the ball over that year, it didn't matter whether or not KB was injured, we were going to be the highest scoring offense because of opportunities. KB is our only legit WR. We need him.

Let's be honest here. KB's not really legit at this point. He has flashes but a lot of terrible play as well. He could still put it together this year but I'm not really too optimistic about him contributing here long term.

When someone says a thread is the worst and clearly in denial. The guy who posted about cam struggling in bringing in derek wasnt completely wrong. Benjamin is a lost cause who drops more passes than he brings in. Sick of hearing all these awesome catches in training camp, poo save it for the season then.

    • Ravens mixing it up with a random Mark Andrew tush push last year isn't a similar situation.  Lamar has run QB sneaks his entire career.  And often instead of a traditional sneak will even employ a 4th and 1 direct snap to Lamar simply because of how athletic he is (which even Cam did a lot of) and let him pick his own holes.
    • height being an issue doesn't just mean batted balls.  You could argue Bryce minimizes batted balls by adopting other poor habits such as his jump passing and leaving the pocket.   As I said, there are plays you can point to where he clearly was blind to parts of the field/players....which kills plays and opportunity. Which actually means some of the shorter/hot throws when things break down are where his vision gets blocked (and he had below average production all around the line of scrimmage).   has he figured it out? I mean, he improved off a trainwreck start.  But Bryce Young since arriving in the league (even while figuring it out)......doesn't generate much offensive production vs his peers.  I just think his ceiling is low.   And that's not in the grand scheme what you want in the NFL.  I think he can develop into a serviceable QB, that will largely always been a middle of the pack or low end starter.
    • People make a lot of noise about his footwork and I think it is overblown. Whether he takes 3 steps backwards or 5 small steps doesn't matter as long as he ends up at the right depth and is in sync with  the receiver regarding timing. If he does that consistently who cares as long as he has a firm stable base as he delivers the ball. Which he does need to work on. However even that is somewhat overblown given that often QBs have to throw off balance or from different arm angles to fit the ball around defenders. He is considered very accurate so apparently it isn't hurting him that much.
