Daryl Worley Posts Cryptic Tweet...

This article was posted a couple of days ago I was shocked he was public about this

Daryl Worley saw a season-low number of snaps in Carolina's 28-23 loss to the Eagles on Thursday Night Football.

Worley started the game but was replaced by fellow cornerback Kevon Seymour in the first half and played sparingly the rest of the way. The second-year pro from West Virginia and former third-round selection played 23 snaps and 37 percent of the game defensively for the Panthers as Seymour seemed to surge ahead of him in terms of favor by the coaching staff when it came to matching up with Eagles receivers.

The cornerback played all but two defensive snaps the first three weeks before injuring his shoulder and missing Week 4's matchup with the Patriots. He played 75 percent of the snaps in the win over Detroit before seeing a major dip in playing time on Thursday night.

"If they don't feel they can win with me on the field then so be it," Worley said, via ESPN.com's David Newton.

Worley also added he had "no clue" why he was benched.

The former Mountaineer's snaps on special teams increased with Seymour taking his place for the majority of the game on defense. Carolina acquired Seymour in the preseason from Buffalo.

So not only does he play bad but doesnt watch film either.

In all seriousness I think benching him does not necessarily mean he is "out"  I think he needs perspective and more time to learn.  He can get better and may become a starter calibre player one day but he needs more time IMO.

probably told today that Seymour was going to get the starting reps this week in practice

Rivera did this same thing to Norman btw

Because Norman didn't understand the zone scheme. Wanted to jump every route and was out of position.  Not the same situation.

    • First, am I wrong? I looked back over all his posts here and I didn't see anything positive other than Shough. Second, pretty sure if you had read the post I was responding to, you would have seen CRA made poo personal as well . You just choose to address me instead of him. Not sure why?????
    • I wanted XL but I felt he should have been a 2nd rounder but I understand the logic trading up just to get the option. A safety net for your gamble.    Certainly disappointed with his receivers development but i like his down field blocking and I imagine that's what's keeping him on the field.
    • Pretty sure it is a given Young lacks typical QB size and strength and he is here simply because his other attributes more than make up for it. My point is not to indicate anyone "settled" for him but rather to remind people that there have been plenty of big, strong QB's that have not lived up to expectations. Jamis Winston, Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, JaMarcus Russel are a few examples. They all have the physical attributes coveted by teams and yet none have had sustained success in the NFL. And yes, there are QBs that do have both but there aren't many and some of the ones still playing were failures with their early teams. Saying Young is a bust simply based upon his size (and I do think it is as simple as that for a few guys around here) is unfair to both him and the team.
