Rotoworld with some hard truths about cmc

Christian McCaffrey caught 5-of-7 targets for 49 yards in the Panthers' Week 8 win over the Bucs.

McCaffrey "added" four rushes for three yards. McCaffrey's 49 receptions are already a Panthers record for a running back, but the rookie back still isn't making enough tacklers miss. His 7.71 yards per reception is nothing to call home about. McCaffrey has been stunningly ineffective on the ground, turning 49 carries into just 117 yards (2.38 YPC). He's a rich man's Theo Riddick, which translates to RB3 value in standard leagues.

Yep must be a bust when Cam keeps missing him when he’s wide slap open underneath in favor of receivers 60 yards downfield who are triple covered

I wish people would actually go back and watch that play and understand that despite what that announcer was saying (the same announcer who called Jameis Winston the Brett Favre of this generation) CMC wasn't going anywhere had he been thrown the ball there. David was in great position with a perfect angle.

Do people not understand there is a difference between draft position =/= performance and being a bust?

There is no way to argue around the fact that he is not living up to his number 8 pick as a RB and no one in their right minds drafts a slot receiver top 10. He is being out preformed by 3rd+ rounders.

Jstew literally ran by the LB there and he rocketed in there to tackle CMC.

There's a reason you don't grade drafts after 8 games the following year.

He's productive and he's a rookie. He's not F'n up much. You see flashes now. HE will improve I've got no doubts. The game is faster but it'll slow down for him.

Like I've said before, I wanted him AND a power back predraft. I'm still not dissapointed in the pick. You can see it coming for him.
