This is NOT 2015, Offense is NOT better without KB

Our offense is not just magically going to become great because KB is gone.

1. Cam has not been forcing it to KB. He is averaging 6 targets per game, and that is skewed by the Eagles game which he saw 13 targets because Cam threw for a ridiculous 50+ passes. Now in 2014 he was forcing (9 targets per game). But forcing the ball to KB clearly has not been the source of our offensive struggles.

2. Our 2015 offense benefited tremendously from a super opportunistic defense which not only scored a lot of points for us but regularly gave us short field positions. Our defense has been solid overall but (even when Kuechly was healthy) has struggled to generate turnovers.

3.We actually had a running game. This year we are averaging 97.6 YPG and a terrible 3.4 yards per carry. Take away Cams contributions and its 65.75 YPG and only 3.1 YPC. Now compare this to 2015 where we averaged 142.6 Ypg and 4.3 YPC.

These are just a few reasons why shipping KB away for basically nothing is not going to help our offense at all.

Look at the saints game if you want to see our offense without KB. We got fugging blown out and could barely move the ball

No Ginn, no running game, terrible line.

People can’t seem to grasp that 2015 season by Cam was an anomaly of brilliance. That was the best mvp season ever.

its not like this offense was lighting the world on fire with KB...i think we will be fine.

LOL. So offense is already struggling, might as well take away the only receiver we have who has proven himself at all. Only receiver with more than 500 yards in a season. Because maybe now that the number 1 corner will be on Funchess he'll be able to get separation without OPI... or maybe since Curtis can't catch a pitch he'll be able to catch a bomb 50 yards down field....

i have seen this story before and it always seems to work out...someone will step up and fill the void because they are getting more touches

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
