Its amazing how ending the "Twin Towers Experiment" has opened up this offense.  Everybody looks faster, especially Fun Fun.  Great move by Hurney, who doesnt get enough respect around here.  He has made a lot of good moves this season.

I hate the dude as a GM as much as the next guy, but He's done MANY good things for the team.

Hurney was bad starting in 2008 by trading picks to move up in the draft, signing multiple people to massive deals especially after season ending injuries, and then later resigning the worst QB in the league at the time, Delhomme

trading up for otah was not the problem

he resigned delhomme in 2009, couldn't trade or lock up peppers, and traded up for zod favorite everette brown

That 2011 draft by him was so bad.  At least we got Cam, but everything after that was trash.

Acquiring a 3rd rounder for a lazy oaf who bogs down offenses is possibly Hurney's best move since his return.

If we really were dead set on not signing him back the next year than it makes sense.

 

But what happens when Samuel and Funchess are both injured?

 

We have no depth right now thats a fact. Shepard is even a poorer mans Ted Ginn.
