Neutral Zone Infraction

The Panthers offense came out after halftime trailing the Saints 14 - 21. On 3rd down and 4* I believe it was, the Defense jumped into the Neutral zone, causing a reaction from the Panthers Offensive line, but there was no call. That is the very definition of a Neutral Zone Infraction. Then, THE EXACT same thing happened for the Panthers defense; almost on the same part of the field as well. Yet, the refs instantly threw multiple flags and awarded the Saints 5 yards and a replay of down. One of the worst missed calls that I have ever seen. Literally a mirror image if you watch both plays, but one is called, one is not. Granted, we wouldn't have won the game on this call because we played very Poorly in all phases of the game today, but it killed our opening drive and gave the Saints even more momentum coming out of half time. Can anybody find the .gif's of these 2 plays and post them here? Because I lost all composure after that one.

It was like 3rd and 4 and was a first down for us if called. It was a blatant decision by the refs not to throw the flag, not that they didn't see it. Terrible bullsh(t that absolutely screwed us over, however our team was sh(t all game and would've lost anyways so no excuse there.

It sucked but Ron lost this game right before half time.

This was just a kick in the nuts after the half.

We’ll never know the outcome of the game, but the sack after wouldn’t have happened and we’d still be driving the ball while only down 7. Plus, they may not have necessarily scored a TD with that possession they got.

that string of events gave them great momentum and made it a very different game.

If you didn't learn from the Superbowl, the NFL hates the Panthers.  Any big game, we're going to get cheated like crazy.  It's the truth and the sooner we all accept it, the sooner we can just ignore than blatant favoritism of a team led by a hall of fame white QB.

The refs missed the call but I think our linemen did a poor job of selling it. The Saints offensive lineman got out of his stance and grabbed the defender that jumped off sides. Our lineman just pointed at the Saints defender and expected the officials to do their job.

The sad part is nothing will even happen to this crew for all the fug ups. The play mentioned here and SO many other things in the game that showed favoritism towards NO. It didn't cause us to lose......we played like utter poo other than the opening drive...........but it sure didn't help. This crew had better not even sniff a playoff game not the superbowl. I can't stand it when refs screw up a game regardless of what teams are playing since I already know nothing will ultimately happen to them other than a "Yeah we were wrong, sorry. or "They were right in making the decision for, some bullshit reason or another."

    • No, I'm starved for contention. If you can't see that and keep wanting to turn things like this back around on T-Mac, then you're just either being purposefully obtuse, or is a fan who is happy having 5-6 win seasons just because we're so used to the 3-4 win seasons and you like "just being better"
    • Chiefs had zero penalties last night
    • You mean the guy who took over a franchise that hadn't had a losing season in the previous 4 seasons... who proceeded to get his team into the playoffs in 3 of his first 4 seasons, only to win 2 games in said playoffs, to then go on to having a 54-74 career record and never won another playoff game after those first two? Who then after being fired from that job, took over a team that was 30-18 in the 3 seasons before he got the job, got into the playoffs that first season, lost their first postseasons game, and then went on to have a 6-26 record over the next 2 seasons? You're literally proving my point by bringing up someone who's claim to fame is that quote. If you just play to win the game, you're never going to be a successful franchise.  You need to play to win the game while ALSO working to make your players better.  Having the former without the latter is a picture perfect recipe to become a stagnant franchise. That's how you work towards being a winning franchise who can contend in the postseason.  And sure, having a stagnant franchise that makes the playoffs every other season is better than what we currently are, but that's not what I strive for with our Panthers, I want to actually contend for championships in my lifetime.
