Graham Gano Deserves Pie

Or PSL. Dude truly got his poo back together and doesn't get enough recognition. Haha unless it all builds up to a failure in the worst time. He's gone back to being Automatic, probably more-so then ever in his career. He doesn't whiff anymore. Seems Hurney threatening the kicking situation in the preseason worked out for Gano and the team. So Hurneymagic?

No.  A kicker earning top dollar deserves to be trusted from 50+.

At least he hasn’t shat the bed otherwise.  Golf clap.

Kicks beyond the halfway mark are no gimmes. I wouldn't say I "trust" any kicker beyond the 50. That being said,  Gano has played like a champ this year from any and all distances.

What more could you ask of a kicker? He's been great this season and he really should be in the running for Pro Bowl (if that really even mattered anymore).

A bit of competition seemed to have nudged his accuracy a bit. Just what the doctor ordered and hopefully here's to another four or five years without need for an adjustment.

Over 50 yards is rough for any kicker, but I think he's there if we need him.

Is that his fault or Rivera’s? He’s been solid including some XPs when we continue to get penalized. I’d still rather have more cap and Butker for 4 years of savings.

Keeping Gano over Butker was moronic.  Hopefully Gano continues to do what he gets paid too much to do.

I chatted with him downtown Ashville during the BYE week. He seemed relieved that his kicks were nailing it, and really believes the team is special.

Never lost the confidence of management, and was not worried about the competition. Was thankful he was getting the opportunity that he has as well.

I left the convo with keep crushing it, and nail a game winner for us one more time.

Great guy.

He's still the guy that will randomly miss XP's, and then make blocking people on twitter his first order of business.

We need competition at kicker next year regardless.

Cut him! He blocked @TheRed on twitter!

  • missed one XP
  • at least the only getting blocked is his twitter followers and not kicks.

    • I will absolutely lose my sh!t if this happens.  Arch and Moore go in the top 5. Mestemaker goes #8.  In this mock we have a chance at QB4 in what some are calling a generational QB draft and they have us taking a freaking DT at #10.  Sayin, Carr, Mensah and Sellers are ALL still available.
    • I thought about this schedule, and it is brutal. That said most of the games we played against caliber teams we either won or were in the game, minus the New England game. We'll have a much-improved defense and if we can somehow get Brazzell incorporated into the offense and one of our TE step up we might have a nice offense. So, I say we should be in most of these games.  Predicting the outcome of these games so soon after the draft before we even have OTA is just guessing so I won't predict.
    • Same here, and I've been one of the biggest anti Bryce people on here. Now, even then, I won't want us to make him a Top 5 paid QB, I'd like to see it still be a deal in that 10-15 range of highest paid QB's and/or have it just be a 2 or 3 year deal.  But if he puts up a season like that, he'll have earned the extension and right to be our QB moving forward. I don't think he'll have a season like that as I don't think he's good enough, but as I've said every year for the last 3 years and now the 4th straight year... Even though I don't think he's that good or can do that, I desperately want to be proven wrong, because Bryce turning into the player the team thought they were getting him after that trade, is still our fastest path to contention than needing to replace QB again.
