100% of Panthers will be for sale

Hmmmmmm, so if this is true, it appears the NFL wants to have a true majority owner for the Panthers. This makes since. Also wonder if some of the minority owners try to increase there shares while bringing in a few more owners to the group. Also BOA and any media groups cannot buy the franchisee, unlike most other major sports leagues.

Also a little scary too, as this could be an outside group that as others mentioned, try to move the team out of the area after a few years.

I simply do not understand why everyone is worried about the team moving?

Where?  The North East is coming South.  Charlotte has a lot of white collar jobs that can support PSL's.  There is now a HUGE fanbase for this team that would go poof if they left.

It's taken 20 years for the team to really get it's roots dug in, why would a new owner want to move...this isn't Miami or San Diego?

We now have 3rd generation, and possibly 4th generation "fans" (my 5 month old nephew wears Panthers clothes, as did my grandfather) out there.

I just cannot see the NFL supporting a move when we have been "sold out" for 20+ years now.

This, and given the PR shitstorm that has been the Rams and Chargers (and soon to be Raiders as well) the league would be out of its damn mind to approve another move.

I don't see why some people worry about this team moving. IMO it's not even a remote possibility.

I mean... When the "team" is for sale, I'd think the whole team....not just a %

That's because you don't understand investment. When they say Jerry is selling, you expect to only be his % of ownership in the team. Apparently he has 48% controlling interest but still owns the entire team; unless his family wants to cash in as well.
