We’ve been pretty lucky with injuries this year, besides Olsen and Kalil being out. If we can start the playoffs with everyone healthy that’s freaking huge for us.

Not really. We had a injured Olsen, Kalil, Samuel, and Cam to start the season. We lost Samuel again and have had Shaq and Worley hurt as well. Teams like NO and the Eagles stayed healthy almost all season.

Many teams have been healthy all year but to be fair the Aints were without Lattimore both games against us and just lost Klein and Vacarro and the Eagles just lost their MVP Wentz... We've had injuries all year yes but fortunately the only player we're really missing now for the stretch run is Samuel.

Its been a pretty bad year for injuries . Just think of the teams who either lost their #1 or #2 playmaker

  • Texans : Deshaun Watson, JJ Watt (Best offense AND best defense player)
  • Patriots : Edleman (Super Bowl Hero)
  • Packers : Rodgers (Arguably the most valuable player for any team in the league outside of Cam) , Davante Adams (leading receiver)
  • Panthers : Greg, Ryan (most reliable target in cams career out for most of season, All pro center out for alot of the season, Cam not healthy for at least the first 1/4 of the season)
  • Browns : Joe Thomas (Historically an iron man, Rookie QB has to play without the longtime franchise LT)
  • Bucs : Half their roster and Winston for some games
  • Vikes : Dalvin Cook (They have alot of talent but Cook wouldve likely made them neigh unstoppable offensively )
  • Redskins : Pretty much everone on their oline
  • Eagles : Wentz
  • Cowboys : Tyron Smith misses multiple games, Sean Lee misses multiple games, Zeke Elliot misses multiple games. Pretty much their top 3 most important players missed sizable chunks of the season
  • Giants : Odell Beckham going down springborded them into a dumpster fire season
  • Cardinals : Lost Palmer, David Johnson, AND Adrian Peterson
  • Steelers : Antonio Brown was probably the running MVP before he got hurt late in season

Huge getting Shaq back. All of the teams we may play in the playoffs (Rams, Eagles, Vikings, Saints) want to setup the pass by establishing the run. With a healthy Luke, TD, and Shaq we have the best run defense in football. IF we can shut down the run we can really impose our will in the playoffs.

....easy Sparky....Buc's first.

We have the 5th best defense in opponents rush yards per game.

Now here's the shocking thing... for defense in opponents average yards per carry, we drop to 20th.

But, on the positive side, our defense is 4th in opponent rushing TDs per game and 5th in opponent rushing 1st downs per game.

The Aints and Eagles have only just started to lose players. Sucky timing yes but that doesn't mean they weren't healthy most of the year and won a bunch of games because of it.

I frequently visit Saints Forum and the fans there are readying for all out war and revenge on Falcons and some are hoping to hurt Falcons players. What is your take on that?.

There's those in every fan base. I'm not someone who hopes for injuries, but I'm not a guy who wants to "beat a team at full strength" either lol. Saints lost 7 guys to injury in the first game. Poo happens.

When you frequent other boards, you have to understand that their board looks a lot like your board, just from a different view point lol.

Adapt and overcome.  We have had our fair share of injuries and still managed a 10-4 start.  New Orleans losing Vaccaro and Klein are big.  Klein was a great understudy for Luke and has been a huge addition to the Saints defense.  Replacing him is not easy.

If N.O. was playing a team that was an outdoor team like us than I would think they would lose at home.  Atlanta is a dome team like N.O. and it neutralizes part of the homefield advantage that the Saints have.   I

If Atl can take the crowd out of the game early.  They are just as good in New Orlean's dome as they are in the A$$hole of the south.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
