Cam Jordan accidentally admits they were going for Cam Newton head.

Was watching this live.  Seemed like he immediately tried to clean it up and stammered even more, then followed with, "that boy blessed."  It was like you could see his face change as he was talking when his brain registered, "oh, we're known for bountygate, I shouldn't say that."

Anyway, fug cam Jordan.  I wish him reciprocity and hope he is knocked out next game.

You guys are jumping to conclusions. Sounds more like he’s questioning Carolina for allowing him to come back in after that hit

He said "we thought we knocked him out of the game," as though that was their goal.  Watch 99% of any other interviews where a player is asked about an opponent's injury and they give a cliche/generic response that usually includes a "hope they're ok."  To say he thought they knocked him out, then say he is blessed is implying he escaped your intended action.  Cam Jordan is a classless piece of poo and I wish him the worst of luck going forward.

I should rephrase what I said. I think he meant more along the lines of “holy crap I just can’t believe someone could possibly be back in the game after that hit”

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
