I think the Vikings thought Bridgewater was better than he really was. The chargers lot people up on offense and produced a crazy amount of studs at RB.

Probably just semantics. They had the 27th and 29th ranked offense under Norv. They were making a change whether they fired him or allowed him to save some face.

Said it elsewhere, but if Rivera brings in Turner, his goal might be to have someone who can coach Newton into a more traditional type of quarterback.

That's a very real possibility.

Honestly, he probably would've been had he simply been a head coach. Winning that power struggle with Roseman was the worst thing that could've happened. He blew that roster up as soon as he gained full control over football operations. He had back to back 10-6 seasons prior to that.

There's a presumption that Bridgewater is capable of being a successful QB in the NFL... Norv is gone and his knee healed but he still wasn't able to win his job back.

They could also let go of Bradford, after which point he could be backing up...Newton.
