This is a really good list of young WR coming into their prime that can help right away..

We could get 2 from this list and be good for next season.

Leave the draft for defense and let's finally get Cam some weapons that can help from day 1.

Gordon, Bryant, Robinson, Watkins and Landry can be number 1 WR  Day one with Cam..

Cam needs someone who can create separation and make tough catches...Landry does it as well as anyone right now. BUT...he isn’t a deep threat. His game is to run crossing routes and quick hitters as a possession guy. We already have a guy that accomplished that in McCaffery and potentially Samuel.

We need someone who is going to be able to get open deep.

No one really stands out to me, but as we are right now, any in the top 20 could start for us.

I'm just really torn because to my recollection FA WR's never work out it seems.  Good WR's rarely hit FA.

Plus rarely are WR's dominant coming of the draft unless they are athletic freaks.. ie Julio Jones, Calvin Johnson, etc..

We have to get people who are more polished route runners,  and have the ability to stretch the field.   I just don't see the options in FA that realistically have a chance of coming here.

A lot of good guys on this list, would love to come away with 2 guys from this list. Obviously landry regardless if he’s not a deep threat is the guy I’d want. But if he’s out our price range I’d live to go after Marquise Lee and/or Meredith, Josh Brown, Taylor Grabriel and Tyrell Williams are also some guys I can see making a big impact. Haven’t watched moncrief much so I’m nit familiar with his game. Allen Robinson if he hits fa would be worth a look also. No excuse not to stock cam with some wrs this next season

See Philly.. They add A lshon Jefferies and Torry Smith ..Wentz becomes a mvp candidate..

Falcons Sanu and Gabriel

Saints take Ginn from us.. That seem to work out..

That's just off the top of my head..

Robinson coming off a ACL might come cheap.. John Brown is a deep threat so is Paul Richardson.. Gordon and Bryant are superstars if they can stay off the weed..

Yeah so many options I’ll be legit pissed if we didn’t grab at least one guy in fa, Lee is really intriguing, I think he’s a guy who can get vertical but can also run damn near every route, but has been stuck behind two good receivers and blake bortles. Should be in our price range, def give richardson a look, these are all guys who shouldn’t break the bank.

I agree we need a veteran to come in and be a key player.  We also need to bring is someone that is going to fit.  IMO we don't need a big lumbering WR, been there, done that.  It didn't work. We have a big in Funchess as a Number 2.

IMO Byrd is on the cusp of having a breakout year.  I think Samuel with a complete offseason and when he heals will definitely be a huge addition to our offense so we need a reliable WR that can run any route asked of him.  If what you say is correct abut Lee than he would be the one I target.

I also remember Richardson having a huge year for J'ville a season or two ago.   Wouldn't mind him.

    • This And with possibly needing to replace Bryce next year and a deep QB class, I do not hate the idea of moving far enough back to pick up another 1st rounder next year out of the deal. I wouldn't have said that a week ago, but I also never expected us to land 3 big FA's at our 3 biggest positions of need like we have, it totally changes things.
    • The OL has certainly been better than the trainwreck it was three or four years ago. As far as competitiveness let's apply some realism and clarity here. Quite a bit of the competitiveness in 2025 came from the defensive side of the ball which gave up the most points in league history the year before and was one of the bottom 5 units in terms of salary cap allocation for 2025 while the OL was top 3. We had the 26th passing offense last year. And if not for a herculean couple of games from Rico Dowdle we don't back our way into the division title or make the playoffs because we went 4-6 in our final ten games including being swept by the Saints who were starting a rookie 2nd round pick most of us mercilessly mocked when they selected him. In conclusion yes we've seen a difference. The question now is will the investment pay off the way we want. But the only way that happens is if we field a top 15 offense. If we can't even crack the top 20 then there need to be some very warm seats across the board. And I would hope just about anyone here should agree with that.
    • These Spurs are lowkey loaded.  If healthy, they could win it all this year (#2 in the West right now). I still think we’ve gotta keep Kalk on Wemby; he’s not getting completely dominated like every other NBA center.
