Norwell will cost a lot of plug in moton and let him walk

do the same for star, plug in Vernon butler hes a first round pick for gods sake.

We cut and restecture correctly, and dont sign star/norwell to unnessary expensive deals, we could be sitting on 40-50 mil in cap room for free agency. All up  to Hurney whether he wants to be conservative and overpays his own guys or takes some risks to clear up some money to make great FA moves like the Jags and Eagles did last offseason. We can afford any two high priced FAs on the market if Hurney really wants to do it.

We're sitting at 21m now.  Cutting CJ, Shepard, and Stewie gets us around 9m more.  Cutting Kalil/Olsen gets us another 14m but gives us 6m dead.  You really think those two take a pay cut?

And Butler does not play the same position as Stah.  Star/Norwell will each create a cap hit of at least 7-8m.  I doubt we can keep these two and still have enough to sign more than 1 very good FA.

Allen Robinson would be great if we can get him.

Robinson's health could play a role in the Jags' offseason plans. Last summer the team's moves hinted at keeping the franchise tag available for Robinson -- picking up Blake Bortles' fifth-year option and signing center Brandon Linder to a new contract.

The Jags could tag Robinson to see how their top receiver returns from the knee injury, delaying a long-term pact at least a year. If a multiyear deal is done, it could look similar to the new contract Davante Adams signed in Green Bay: four years for $58 million, $18 million guaranteed.

"I would say it definitely [got my attention]," Robinson said of Adams' deal.

I'm not sure Robinson is going to available, and even if he is, it doesn't look like it'll be the discounted deal some thing. It sounds like the Jags are in a good position to franchise him to see how he recovers. Even if they don't, he is looking for Davante Adams type of money.

Ziggy and Demarcus Lawrence are my #1 targets in FA. I think Detroit & Dallas will franchise them though. Robinson would be nice but probably out of our price range coming off a major injury. I would like any of Fuller, Grimes or Amukamara for CB. Eric Reid is an option at safety and he thinks his market will be limited because of his anthem protests. Maybe he comes cheap.

There might be some interesting names that are cap casualties this year so that’s another option to keep an eye on.

Let star walk, make some tough cuts freeing up space so we can make a run at a WR like Lee, than I’d sign a guy like merdedith or Enuwu, low risk high reward deal. I’d personally make signing norwell back a priority, but if peppers retires I think we have no choice but to grab a fa de. Bring Boston back, sign a space eating dt to split with love. Draft defense first 3 picks barring a offenseive talent falling in our lap. Cb I’m iffy on,was the fall off due to scheme, safety play, or bad cb play?

I would be at full mast all season long until Boston did his best Marcus Williams impression
