Do You Honestly Believe Byrd and Samuel Can Stay Healthy for An Entire Season?

Byrd has no value left that hasn't been replaced by Smith and Clay.  Byrd is the odd man out.  Byrd only hope is that Smith is cut and that ain't happening.  Clay is better on special teams.

Byrd is gone.

I'm a fanatic so some people don't watch the game like myself on a Monday or Tuesday I rewatch lady weeks game relaxing with all that said, I don't see no way in hell we let go of our spark he came back and was a goto option for Cam. Great in and out of breaks catching balls I repeat actually catching passes. Do you remember imo one play that cost us the saints game no catching azz Clay. I like him but he can't handle Cams heat and Byrd could and we didn't tender Clay letting him know you'll be around when we are ready to get to you. Bryds play re energized our offense unless we pick up a stud DJ Moore Christian K maybe but Bryds value seems higher then we are giving credit.

Byrd is definitely coming to camp for us. I don't know if he makes the final roster or not, but he'll be in camp with a shot. It doesn't look like Clay will even get that. I was hoping we'd give him another look as a return man, but I think those two fumbles really hurt him. Two fumbles in 17 return attempts scares coaches.

That drop in the saints game did it. And lets be real, Clay was only playing because of Samuel and Byrd injury.

Byrd owns the sht out of Clay lmao. He should be guaranteed a roster spot at this point. Only reason we didn’t send New Orleans home was because both Byrd and Samuel got hurt in a two game span.

If healthy those guys are the future. That’s why we traded for Smith so in case something does happen we still have the speed to stay a competitive and quick striking offense.

Samuel was a 21 year old rookie last season. Lots of players started out their careers with injury concerns and ended up having great careers. It's way too early to make any judgements about him

Byrd is a little older at 25 with several seasons on the team, and 2017 was the first time we saw him contribute in a meaninful way at all, so I'd expect more out of him next year. He seems a bit more on the fragile and would probably be best used as a backup/spot deep threat, but if there's someone that might be put up or shut up time next season, it's Byrd.

I wasn't really interested in him as a WR, more as a dedicated return man. He was never more than an emergency WR... but then again, the same was true of Byrd. We definitely had an emergency situation at WR late last season.

When Byrd went down, that was the season, period. Everyone felt it and knew it. He even took Sheppards snaps. Samuel and Byrd is the future. If Byrd is not, our draft pick will be. We have more invested in Samuel. With Smith we have enough bodys if injuries happen.
