IMO he's alot more NFL ready than Josh Jackson and if a man heavy team drafts Jackson he'll struggle mightily.

Agreed. I like Jackson a LOT for a zone heavy scheme. His instincts and ball skills are very reminiscent of Josh Norman, but his technical skills need a lot of work. He'd get eaten alive if asked to play a lot of man coverage as a rookie.

I'd be thrilled if we took him.

The breakdown states he’s excellent in press coverage but should only be playing off the ball coverage a few snaps a game...does this mean he’s not suited for Zone coverage? If so, how would he fit here given our scheme?

This isn’t to say I don’t like him. My God, I can’t telll u how many times I scream at the TV for our CBs giving a 10 yard cushion to the WRs...but if our scheme isn’t changing, do u really think we’d draft a guy who sounds like he’s a more ideal fit in man to man?

doubt you do it for a rookie but if he can handle it they could play him like they did Norman with coverage rolled away and him playing more man then the rest of the team. he would still need to be able to play zone really well though as it would still be a large portion of his snaps

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
