Looks like Gettleman will be trading OBJ

I would be genuinely worried about signing him in a state with legal pot. If he wants it he's going to get it anywhere clearly, but sending dude to the mecca of blunts and coke lines known as Hollywood probably isn't the greatest idea.

Apparently he really wants to go the Rams, but man I would give up our 1st this year, Vern, and a future 3/4th rounder for him

If he goes to the rams, they better win this year before they collapse in epic fashion from all the ego

OBJ is arguably the best WR in the league.

However I can't justify paying a WR close to 20 million per year. I can understand the argument for paying a tackle and I can understand the argument for a DE/DT, but not a WR.

If I'm the Giants then I field the offers. If you can get a 1st + something else for him, I would really consider it, especially because the Giants will be rebuilding for the future.

I'd take AB and Julio 10 times out of 10, over OBJ.

Elite Wideouts aren't worth breaking the bank over. If you look at history the last time a team with an elite level WR won the SB was a decade ago.

Alshon Jeffery says hi, from last year's SB winner.

Yeah no one player minus a couple win you SB's anyway, but they get you closer to there.

I see this around here a lot, however, look at what other receivers that are definitely way below OBJ's skill are making.    Close to 20 per year is probably about right.     It's a passing league and the position is worth more now than ever.   Obviously we can't pay because of our situation, but a team that has young guys not a big payroll should do this.

Julio is about to break.   He's on the Megatron trajectory.     Those nagging injuries that are there all the time will eventually take you out.     AB is definitely the best in the league though.

no way i pay 20m for a WR

If you feel that's the piece you need to make a run, or if that's a position you aren't good at scouting or developing, you would or should.    In a year or two that won't be a weird contract.

We don't have the money, but that fits into our situation.    We need a #1 WR and, we are TERRIBLE at drafting/developing that position.

OBJs health hasn't been that great either. Julio is most def the tougher of the two.
