Bad experiences since he was GM last. Harder to be optimistic with his history over our heads. Especially when the picks are head scratchers

I have to assume we were targeting Arden Key with the 88th pick.  Oakland jumped 2 spots to get right in front of us to take him.. then we traded our pick in angst.  Arden was a 1st round talent with weed issues.  Hurney isn't the man anymore.. maybe the squeaky clean background is a thing of the past.

If this is the case, I love the trade down by Hurney.  We have tons of holes.  We need a RB, TE, and S.. and if there is a raw DE with high upside, we should take a flyer.  Looking forward to Day 3.  We have  assets to move around if needed with 6 picks tomorrow.

      Backup QB has been an issue of mine for a long time but not just for Bryce and Dalton. We have never really been able to develop QBs or build an offense around strengths. Dalton isn't going to move the needle one way or another. The problem is in our FO and possibly coaching staff (current staff undetermined as of yet). I'm of the belief that you always try to get better. Dalton wasn't good other than one game against an abysmal defense. Churn the roster, including backup QB. If BY isn't the guy we've got to start over anyway. Who knows. We might actually find someone good. Other teams have done it before.

      Lol. Worst case? I think you mean most likely result. I don't think people are going to be wasting much breath on Dalton or QB2 if Bryce flounders this year. It's going to be people calling for coaches, GM's and owners heads for the mess we got ourselves in with Bryce in the first place. Rightfully so.

      I mean that's his sole reason for being here. He doesn't win football games. He's here to keep Bryce comfortable.
