Defensive tackle wasn't a necessity. You'll all find out come game one. BTW Breeland is much better than Jackson so that isn't even a comparison. Proven vet versus undersized nickel corner.

It wasn't?? We lost our starting DT who'd started week one next to KK and a actually made a impact? The real comparison is the impact he can make towards winning. What Poe will do with his good run stuffing  with KK will allow us to shut down the run vs our main rivals who have to run to really get off NO & Atl. I know they both have a good passing attack but that hasn't beaten us in years once we stop the run we usually beat any team we face right? If we make a team one dimensional that's a win for us in the record books isn't that the best way to control things make a team one dimensional? So we got a excellent run stuffing DT who also was graded much higher at pass rushing then Star. It was a necessity and we did a good job putting us in contention for best front seven in the league, sometimes you have to compensate for your deficiencies. You think he's much better but Jack hadn't played one game we'll all see soon I think Jackson is better then Breeland coming in only thing Breeland has is 15 pounds that's it same size across the board but that fourty blazing fast to pedestrian so glad we avoided that bullet.

I think we dodged a major bullet with this one.

I feel like this for more then just the foot the contract size and his real skilkset didn't feel like he could add to this defense that much. He had one good year On the outside...

"

this was before last year yes he had a good year last year but we can't forget about all the 3years before he played  reminds me of the type to revert back to himself after the big payday and this article was praising him for excellent slot coverage with WEAK outside coverage FYI. We did excellent got his equivalent at a crazy cheaper price and got Poe win win.

We play Dallas. If our DTs stop the run and they're in trouble.

Our dline was capable to do this anyways. When we give up the deep ball and make Dak look good with 300+ yards, there's the concern.

With losing Star, DT absolutely was a necessity.

why do you keep embarrassing yourself?

Poe was not only a needed pickup but it took away a big defensive player from a division rival. Breeland was not that great and his injury which supposedly took skin grafts is likely not healed yet. Besides Cockrell is our veteran replacement for him not Jackson. And Cockrell was cheaper and a better fit in our system.

Kamara had a 5.3 yards per carry average against Washington.

Redskins choked so hard in that game. Had they won, we would have won the South. Man, we HAVE to beat N.O. this year!

    • Just another 1st round QB that never paid off for the team that drafted them or traded for them. It's been like this since the SB began. 36 QBs have now won the SB & only 13 of them have been 1st rounders winning with their original team. Namath 1968, Griese 1972, Bradshaw 1974, McMahon 1985, Simms 1986, Aikman 1992, Elway 1997, Roethlisberger 2005, P.Manning 2006, E.Manning 2007, Rodgers 2010, Flacco 2012, & Mahomes 2019. Only 3 have taken longer than 5 seasons as the starter to win a SB.  4  6  5  4  6  4  15  2  9  4  3  5  2 [the years it takes for these 1st round QBs] 5  1  4  1  3  1  1  2  3  4  [10 of the 36 have won a chip with their 1st team that haven't been drafted in the 1st round. These are the years it took them as a starter] What stands out? Only 2 of these QBs have lost their first championship appearance. Elway took 4 years as a 1st rounder & Hurts took 2 years as a 2nd rounder. Of the 10 non-1st round QBs, 2 are 2nd rounders, 3 are 3rd rounders, 5 are 6th rounders or later. Please stop wasting time on drafting 1st round QBs with such a high failure rate. The remaining 13 QBs are traded or free agent signings. Stafford, Favre, Young, Williams and Dawson are the 5 trades. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady also won for teams as free agents on a short stay as well as being drafted. The lesson here is don't waste your franchise on farming up 1st rounders for the league, and steer clear of trading for a franchise QB. Stick to finding that championship QB by drafting them outside of the 1st round or through free agency.
    • I lost most of the respect I had for Fox in 2010. He should have resigned if he hated the job that much. Instead he stuck for his paycheck and let stuff go to hell.    I burned out on Ron too but my deal breaker issue with him was away from football and after he was gone from the Panthers. He may have been out of his depth but never quit on us.
    • From where they were one year ago to now, pretty incredible. I mean, say what you want about Vrabel he is no Jerrod Mayo.
