I don't understand this - the guy wasn't allowed to get business cards before Tepper was the owner? Were the Panthers so cheap before they wouldn't do it?

I would wager most security personnel dont have business cards.

I agree with that, but if it was something the guy wanted, it costs almost nothing, as I am sure they have a great contract with a card printer already. I can only think that he never asked for them until he met Tepper and mentioned he wanted some. It would seem absurd to me that for some reason this could not happen until a new owner came in.

That being said so far I really like this guy and hope he picks up Jerrys old custom of occasionally golf carting it around the tailgate lots on game day.

Yall gonna kiss this mans ass soo much. I'm  screen shotting all the precum you people have for this man like he is a savior and saint. Next year this time when ppl are mad about whatever fickle ppl get mad about and blame the owner, I'll be here to shove it down your throats.

Cool on him, but damn there are some deep throating-before getting paid sluts around this forum. Dude hasnt done anything buy buy the team, gave one press conference where he didnt say anything more than "we are a family" and get aggressive and downright rude when asked aovbut the JR stuff.

CHARLOTTE – One of the first Carolina Panthers employees David Tepper met was security officer and team ambassador John Coleman, who mans the front desk at Bank of America Stadium.

During a site visit in the midst of the bidding process, Tepper and Coleman hit it off, which is what generally happens when anyone comes into contact with the affable greeter who has worked for the Panthers since 1996.

I love stories like this for 2 reasons. 1. Good people are finally being taken care of 2. It continues to expose Jerry Richardson as the true piece of sh it he’s always been.

For anybody wanting to put a cynical spin on this, if you read the story you'll see that Tepper made the promise to get Mr Coleman some business cards during his first visit to Bank of America Stadium, when he wasn't the owner yet.

The fact that he both remembered and fulfilled that promise shouldn't be forgotten. You learn a lot about people by watching how they treat service people; waiters, waitresses, security, etc. And plenty of "big bosses" look at people like assets.

It matters.

Thank you for making this special effort to show us how edgy you are. We're all very impressed.

He didn't ask for them. Tepper asked him for his card and he said he didn't have one. Tepper promised if he bought the team he would order him some.

Classy move. Happy to see it.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
