With wide receivers breaking the bank for middling ability I wouldn't be excited about signing him now. If he puts up career highs again this year he will get big bucks but at least he will have proven he is worth it.

He will get a SB ring out of it.

He'd probably get 10 million on the open market this offseason, but doubtful he'd command the 14+ some of the "names" got.  Smart play by Hurney (gasp), keep Funch hungry, and then take care of him.  He steps up?  Hallelujah we have a WR1.  He doesn't, but continues to be a solid #2 guy?  Try to get him for 8 million or so in the offseason.  He leaves on a fat contract, comp pick it is, and he must be expendable to us.  Not to mention, D. Williams, the OL/DL in general are more important needs next year.

Or draft Kelvin Harmon and make my homer side happy

We have DJ, Torrey, Wright and Samuel otherwise,...

If Fun fun wants a contract, he can beat out those guys, ball out and stay healthy,...

meanwhile the others all have chips and eager reasons to lay it all out there.

I think DJ Moore’s performance may have as big an impact on his contract as Devins does. And that franchise tag is going to be very high with all the new contracts. Just guessing but around 15M+. If you think DJ is a #1WR after one year, it’s going to make the decision even more difficult.

This sounds right. If DJ Moore has a rookie of the year type performance, he is a super cheap #1 for 5 years.
