Guess that story out of dfw was some chick wanting cash

lets hope he is finally gonna be a contributor...after all, he was only a first round pick

Yeah a complete dud of one. Never liked the pick myself. Wish we would have gone OT or TE.

Like?

Hunter Henry is the only player that you can make an argument for as a TE, but he's been just okay (with some injury concerns) so far.

Outside of the top 5, the 2016 draft has been eh from what we've seen outside of some scouted players in later rounds, as far as pro bowl caliber players go. We can do a lot worse than a really solid rotational defensive tackle, on a team where our d-line is important.

I knew some dumbass would ask so like Germain Ifedi who is actually playing right now. Also Henry broke records his rookie year not his ankle like Butler. Hell even Ogbah has done better and he plays for the Browns.

I think Butler has definitely shown flashes. I agree though, a first rounder is usually something more than depth. However, I'd rather have a great player behind an All-star than a bust.

It's not just that but he's buried by depth. You want a number one to start by year two.

Although he doest play OT or TE, Michael Thomas is one player that would have been huge. Plus he wouldnt be on the Stains.

I'm not seeing why people are still bringing up Hunter Henry like he is some great player that we missed out on. He would still be a backup much like Vernon is.

Word. It was a shitty draft. Michael Thomas is nice. Hunter Henry hasn’t done much, Ifedi sucks, Yannick down in Jacksonville is a hell of a pass rusher, but wasn’t projected to go that high. Pretty much all of the top of that class has dissapointed

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
