Nope. Glad someone said it.  Without Trai helping him on an insanely high percentage of plays, he’s average at very best.

Good question. I thought Daryl was good in pass protection but he was a non factor as a run blocker. I dont remember one instance of him opening holes for the RBs. I believe Moton has the higher ceiling of the two. He seems competent in both phases of blocking.

e: but seriously though the selection came as a surprise to me.  i figured williams to be a much needed pass protection upgrade on the right side who could maybe develop into a pro bowl type player but i didn't think he was the second best RT in the league last season.

Forget him, i don't know why people still think ryan kalil is a stud. He was garbage in that playoff game last year.

The ideal scenario i hope for the future is that Moton continues to improve and we move him to LT and DW comesback and locks down the RT spot. Maybe adding another mauler to put in the middle somewhere would be a added bonus.

Blind side is still important and Williams and Moton would be formidable.

Here is a tidbit people missed from the other night.  Dion Dawkins who the Bills jumped up to steal from us in front of Moton is the starting LT for the bills.  

Hmmm.  LT’s are hard to find.

Most worried about depth right now. I’m fine with moton. But if either of our current starting tackles miss time we go from a playoff team to straight trash. And that’s not hyperbole.

First PFF grade for Van Roten is positive, but as always, take PFF grades for what they're worth.
