I see very little substance in this thread. Apparently the hyperbole used in media has reached this board. Film review should provide further insight but it looked like they were stunting the leftside of the line. Game planning can fix those problems.

The substance is Kalil’s horrible play. For a 6th straight year. Do you really believe that Kalil’s level of LT play is what is the norm for the NFL? If so, you need to get out more. So now it’s the “game plan and “media” at fault? Guess we can add them to the list of 1,001 Excuses to be Matt Kalil.

Robert Quinn has and will continue to make alot of LT's look bad.

I agree Kalil played bad last tonight, but I really have to question your intelligence and football knowledge if you think we can cut him and find someone better at this point.

This fan base has experienced Todd Steussie, Byron Bell, and Nate Chandler and is clamoring for a new LT given Kalil’s Performance.

Matt got absolutely worked and we need insurance at the very least. He’s at Byron Bell status..not quite Chandler yet

Agree, but we are going to have to draft someone. Outside of picking Moton in the 2nd round, we have really neglected OL in the draft in recent years.  Kalil, despite looking terrible in passing blocking last night, is an upgrade over those guys you mentioned.

There are deficiencies on every team...ours is secondary and partial O Line.

We have a franchise QB, a HOF MLB, great players sprinkled all over the roster...if we can't figure out how to win with these players, we don't deserve to win.

Best O line in football:  Dallas Cowboys.

Worst WR corps in football:  Dallas Cowboys.

It's just the way it is....and we should be doing our damndest to find a long term upgrade over both Kalil's.

I don't think there are 32 quality starting left tackles in the league, let alone available ones.

Everyone needs to remember this when draft season rolls around.  Every year during the season we complain about o-line play but once it is time to draft people start to fall in love with the more dynamic positions.  Also they tend to be over drafted so it is easy to make the excuse that a different position has more "value" at whatever point in the draft.

Best case scenario, Moton balls out this year and ends up moving to LT next season. Williams returns at RT. Maybe, just maybe the answer really is on the roster this time.

That would be pretty incredible, especially if we get Williams on a discount with the injury

No doubt in my mind the top positions heading into the draft next year will be OT, G, and C.

If you're playing along at home that's the entire offensive line.
