Lets deal Kalil to Gettleman for a Bobox to go . No refunds .  I wonder if we can do an injury settlement and find some cap relief , then look for some O-line help .   Better before cut downs and season starts .  We could use some Hurney magic now .

Eric Flowers for M Kalil, if we are gunna have a shitty player, Id like him to come cheap.

Time to just rip off the fugging bandaid with this o-line.  No one wants Amini or Matt Kalil.  Timing sucks, but we may have better options on the roster or yet to be added.

However we get an alternative, an alternative is better in my book.

If we lose both our starting tackles don’t see any blessing there

If you get a starter for years to come out of Moton..  Getting a shot he wouldn't get earlier if Kali was healthy and signed a legitimate RT after cuts than it could be a blessing.. Learning Moton can be LT and getting Kali off the field could be seen as a blessing...

This is bad bad bad news.  He sucks but this appears to be something serious.

That wording is very specific.  The "evaluating" the situation and not knowing more means there are tests being done which means it isn't a minor injury.  (assumptions here but it seems to be that way).

Still could be a minor issue. If he's having any kind of problems, they're going to evaluate the situation.  They're going to do an MRI regardless, make sure it isn't a major issue.

Thought for years that some bodies just couldn't take the punishment of the NFL season., looks like Kalil's  body is one of those.

If he is out, that's 3 starters from last years Oline gone, with a new OC, that's a lot of change. Not a panthers fan [duh], but, as a football fan,  I'd be worried about Cam behind  what remains of that Oline.

They reworked his contract this off season. We are stuck with him for 3 years or 15 mil. Ugh. Idiocy.

No we're not. Can essentially pay him next year to not be on the team, 12 mil cap hit vs. 14 dead cap (or save a little if a June 1st cut I think), and can save 6 million by cutting him in 2020 while having 9 on the dead cap.  I'd say he's outta here with Ryan.

Poster who said Derek Newton, he hasn't passed a physical since 2016.  If we find an OT, it's from cuts (doubtful) or trade.  Moton & Sirles is our best case scenario potentially...and to rub some deer antler spray on Daryl Williams.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
