Glad he never switched sides on us.

Also in hindsight not really surprising considering he had Marty blank check Hurney negotiating deals.

This. Not sure how real the threat from the Falcons was but on paper at the time I definitely understand why Hurney was very concerned CJ would head to ATL. That threat certainly helped CJ's position at the bargaining table.

Great player for us who absolutely maximized his career earnings. Not gonna lie though, he lost some points when he took KB's side over Can in their recent spat.

You are a genius at finding the negative in every scenerio.

Good dude. Great article. Anyone know what happened to his restaurant?

Not trying to make a joke or anything, but probably the same thing that happened to Deon Sanders’ restaurant, Dan Morgan’s restaurant, etc etc.

Food industry is small margins especially if you don’t have the volume. Players invest thinking it’s easy money especially if they think they don’t have to be involved. Really it’s usually a money pit and don’t see their return.

Well he bought the old firestation by the vue on 5th, and was supposed to be opening a BBQ joint, but nothing has changed since his announcement 3 years ago.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
