Belichick not happy with preseason loss to Panthers

“The Panthers obviously did a good job tonight,” Bill Belichick told reporters after the game. “Coach Rivera, his staff, their team played well in all three phases of the game and outplayed us across the board for four quarters. We have a lot of work to do, it really wasn’t any part of the game that was very competitive. We just have to go back to work, and see if we can find a way to do a few things better than we did them tonight.

I would probably replace hates with respects.

Want to beat BB as consistently as possible...have a mobile QB...his defenses struggle vs. them.  And with Luke, TD, and Shaq, we have LB's whose strengths take away some of their strengths on offense.

Also, want to rattle Brady...interior pressure...and we have Poe and KK.

The Pats would struggle to make the playoffs in the NFC this year. They are lucky to play in their cake division in a far inferior conference.

I hate thePats so much and hope they go 0-16 but I will say that if we are to win the SB this year this is no team I'd rather beat than the Pats. Get revenge just like the Eagles did last year and make Brady tied for most SB losses as well...

Scott Zolak on the Patriots broadcast last night mentioned Pats historically don't match up well with Panthers. I agree with that assessment, our team is very physical as opposed to Patriots who are great but very finesse.

The Pats often start out looking like they've finally run out of gas and won't sniff the playoffs. I'll believe it when I see it. They usually get better as the season progresses and it seems that every year the other AFC East teams are just there to pad the Pats' win column.

As long as they have Bills Miami and Jets to play they can always get into the playoffs. 

Outside of that, they are the best in football at making adjustments, plugging in players that would be garbage elsewhere and making them serviceable, and of course a closer for a quarterback.

No coach is ever happy with a poor performance, even in preseason.  I imagine our coaching staff wasn't thrilled with three fg's only in the first half.  

 

But when does Bill B  ever seem happy?  I might have seen him smile once after winning a SB, but I think that is about it.

I agree with he second part at least.  They are basically pencilled into he playoffs every year due to being in the AFC least.

What is important here is that WE played excellent football. Pats will get things fixed but what matters is that we came out and played like this was a regular season game.
