I don’t know who is making the decision to leave him off the field. But that decision is WRONG. If whoever it is, can’t see it is wrong after that, they shouldn’t have a job on this team. I don’t care if Cam told them to keep him off the field. Whoever keeps him off the field from now on should be kicked out of Carolina.

DJ Moore has been targeted twice in 2 games.  He has a 51-yard TD--his first reception as a pro and a Panther, according to the ESPN stats.

Maybe Ron saw Ridley and Moore on Sunday and realized that first round WRs can make a difference.

I don't know if anyone has rewatched I did last night early morning but he only sent Moore into the game because Wright had some slight injury injury hat forced him out the game that's the only reason he was in the game. So as far as your first theory naw Ron doesn't play the better players untill he absolutely has to or injury forced his hand nothing changed in 8 years.

I think fans are looking for a savior because they aren't happy with the team and our style of play but DJ Moore is just a rookie WR coming out of a college offense. He caught a pass against soft coverage and broke a couple tackles. He did a great job on 1 play. But he's clearly not done enough with all his other opportunities.

Our WRs aren't that big of an issue. Penalties aside, Wright and Smith made some key plays. Funchess had a few bad plays but he had some nice ones as well. DJ Moore getting more snaps isn't going to increase our chances of winning. Torrey Smith had several veteran plays to keep us in the game, including defending his QB from an illegal hit. Swatting away a poorly thrown pass and catching a touchdown.

I think DJ Moore has a bright future but his playing time isn't a factor in why we win or lose. Offensive line woes, penalties and poor game management are more important than putting a guy like DJ on the field.

For him not to play Amini, was a miracle. Tepper must be lurked the huddle and made him change it. You know Ron really wanted to start that useless jellyroll turnstile on the oline.

Yes, More Moore should be the theme of this offense. I know he will have hiccups but better to let him learn then putting up with Funchess and Smith.

Hopefully Samuel is back this week also.

I wouldnt say Smith made plays.

He had 1 big catch out of these last 2 games.  He's had multiple big drops and 2 false starts yesterday (one being a drive killer). On a deep post, on a throw that Cam was off.  He didnt even attempt to make adjustments and play the ball.  Just kept going on his post route like "welp you have to me in stride or I aint catching it".  That last drive he couldn't get open to save his live.

Wright had one big drop, but made up for it with a handful of big (some crucial catches)

Moore, while a rookie, is still talented.  And while he's a rookie coming out of a college system, can make plays.

Ridley who was picked in this same draft 1 pick after Moore ate our lunch yesterday.  So the rookie out of a college system is a lame excuse.  Im fully convinced, we coupd have the next AB or ODB as a rookie.  But Ron would bench him for a vet LaFail

Our best 3 WRs are Samuel (when healthy), Wright, Moore.  But all 3 will ride the bench for quite possibly our worst 2 WRs on the roster.  While those 3 compete with each other for the #3 WR

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
