CarolinaHuddle Pick'em - Week 3 (READ ME)

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!

So the first two weeks have brought up some issues I didn't consider beforehand, and I was slack and didn't post the thread early enough either week. I won't go over last week's results, because I'm gonna reset the pool this week. Think of the past two weeks as a "preseason" for our Pick'em while I figured out what kind of rules and processes to abide by.

1) I will try to have this posted by Tuesday morning at the latest every week. Hopefully by Monday night after each MNF.

2) This thread will be locked after kickoff of the first game of the week. No further entries will be allowed. Edits will be allowed until the thread is locked.

3) I will take a screenshot of every entry, every week. Editing after the thread is locked will result in disqualification that week. Because I want to participate too, I will post my own picks in a separate comment in case I need to edit the OP for any reason.

4) Because we've had two game ties in as many weeks, I've tried to think of a way for ties to not count against people. Instead of marking it wrong like I did the past two weeks, I'll count it as half-right much like the NFL counts a tie as half a win. Chances are I won't have to worry about this at all the rest of the season, but I wanted to establish the provision regardless. Oh, if you correctly pick a tie you will also receive a Power Point just like the Weekly Winner. Kudos for correctly picking a tie!

5) I will still do the "winner take all" Power Point each week. I think it adds an interesting twist, and could help avoid ties in the Huddle Pick'em standings at the end of the season. Rule is simple: you win the week, you get an extra win added your ratio at the end of the season.  If there is no clear winner, no Power Point will be awarded that week. The best way to compete for this Power Point is to provide a Monday Night line. Tell me how many points will be scored in MNF. Power Points can accrue so there's incentive to be a winner each week ;)

6) I'm sorry but I cannot accept new participants after this week. I do NOT care if 60 Huddlers get in on the action this week. I can handle it. Get your picks in while you can. Keep up with it. See the next bullet for WHY you should keep up with it each week. What I can't do is allow people to hop in whenever they like and not post whenever they like. It's not fair to those who DO participate every week if I allow new participants each week. And I'm putting my own skin in the game, so I have to ensure this is fair:

8) To drum up interest, I will personally hand the winner of this little friendly competition a $50 Amazon Gift Card.

9) Instead of a playoff, we'll just go to the end of the actual playoffs and let the results do the talking.

10) I need a volunteer to help me verify the picks every week. I'm a fallible human being and for fairness, I just want an extra set of eyes on the results. Someone willing to help?

Alrighty, if y'all think of other tweaks do let me know. I'm always open to suggestions!

^ @L-TownCat bro dont quote her post that makes it really confusing, just copy and paste it. also if you lock a thread can you edit post's after its locked? if so then you will have to actually screenshot the picks because someone could pull a quick one. Going to do mine now but will be editing a couple times until kick off Thursday.

    • Wide Receiver: Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers – 85.3 One of the more shocking developments of the 2025 NFL season has been the Carolina Panthers’ ascension to the top of the NFC South, which they achieved with Sunday’s win over the Buccaneers. Perhaps nobody has made a bigger difference than former eighth overall pick Tetairoa McMillan, who continued to be a steady presence in the Panthers’ offense. McMillan caught six passes for 73 yards and a touchdown in the win Tight End: Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers – 91.1 Evans only saw the field for 16 snaps, but he was efficient in his limited playing time. He caught all three of his targets for 23 yards on just six receiving snaps while also grading well in pass protection (72.2 grade) and as a run-blocker (68.4) Edge Defender: Nic Scourton, Carolina Panthers – 77.9 The former second-rounder out of Texas A&M has been a force along the Panthers’ defensive line, and he was a key contributor in Carolina’s huge win over the Buccaneers. Scourton recorded two stops as a run-defender and added another while in coverage. Scourton also tallied his sixth sack of the year while contributing another pressure to the mix Safety: Lathan Ransom, Carolina Panthers – 75.7 Another Carolina Panther on this week’s list, Ransom has typically been stronger in run defense — he carries an 85.2 grade in that field on the season. But Sunday against the Buccaneers was his best day in coverage. Ransom intercepted his only target, which wound up being the game-winner that put the Panthers in the driver’s seat in the NFC South
