Barner no longer a Patriot

It could be that because the Pats were signing Jones from a practice squad they had to sign him to the 53 man roster. To do that they had to cut someone thus releasing Barner. Once Barner clears waivers they will move Jones to their practice squad and re-sign Barner to the 53 man roster. I hope that's it.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER

Hoover actually accomplished a few things here, though.

On the flipside, what was the name of that fullback from a few seasons ago that a bunch of people fell in love with in camp and he never even made the practice squad? I've forgotten.

Not many people remember Brad Hoover.  Also Nick Goings and Kris Mangum.

    • i presented this in another thread. he throws better to the out breaking routes the wr run, but almost nothing to the inside. that is half the options on a wr route tree. How do you run an offense like that?  even the outbreaking routes he throws are moonballs, that allow the DBs to catch up unless the wr is wide open. he has to throw with a lot of anticipation becuase he doesnt have the arm strenght to get it there if he is a little late. thats probably why you see balls behind the wrs.
