Cam’s late “personal foul” for taunting

Did anyone ever offer explanation on this?

There was no replay and the commentators never questioned the call, it just sent Rich Gannon into a 30 second spiral of Cam bashing.

Cam threw the ball at the player on the ground and immediately regretted it. He actually tried to stop doing it mid throw but the ball came out. 

 

Cam has to keep his cool.

Yeah, he said in his post game interview Dunlap kept slapping the ball away, so he handed Dunlap the ball. He knew better, just gotta let it slide.

Yeah it looked like he just sat the ball on the defender rather than throwing it at him

I saw it clearly on TV and was initially surprised it wasn't a penalty but then they threw the flag.

Cam said he handed the ball to the player. It didn’t appear he threw it at him....

It wasn't worth the penalty and clearly was an opportunity to swing the came in cincy's favor.

On the radio they described it as handing the ball to the defender, and said it was taunting.  Regardless, We won period.

It was a dumb move that Cam regretted and it could have cost us the game. That said, I doubt it ever happens again. Cam admitted he shouldnt have done it. Cam is leaps and bounds more mature than he was, even 3 years ago. He is a good leader for this team and I'm glad he is our QB.

Doesn't excuse that one Cincy player (I think a safety maybe, white guy) who clearly on TV can be seen calling Cam a F  A  G.  That got my blood boiling.
