Cardinals Willing to Trade Patrick Peterson for Picks

He's only 28 and is a freak athlete.  Only reason they probably want to trade him is because they know the team is bad and isn't going anywhere anytime soon.

DBs can age mighty quick. And I would assume that relationships between coaching staffs in Carolina and the Cards would let us know if he's worth the trade or not.

We should have a inside track on communication and such we can't get everyone we want realistically but he's elite no where near declining.

Contract isn't crazy...11-12 million a year for an elite guy.  Minimal dead cap concerns if you needed to cut him.  Would be a great addition, but I'd be shopping for help in the trenches first.

Only rationale for this I would think is if we wanted to make Donte a Nickel because that's where he'd be the next couple of years.  I don't know how much I like doing that with the swag he's bringing, and play that backs it up.  As much as Captain sucks, I think that's more just an issue of how Corn should be playing more.

What purpose would he serve here?

We have our CB’s of the future

I'm not sure about that. Bradberry is too inconsistent and even though Jackson has shown potential, he's also been burned numerous times. He is still a rookie though, so it's tough to judge, but Bradberry has been a disappointment ever since his 2nd year. And Rivera won't put Corn over Munnerlyn, so it's hard to judge him too even though I think he's looked better.

It's shame we're broke. I just looked at our numbers and Kawaan Short performance isn't 17 mil level right now, that's a lot

It says "In exchange for draft picks". So I am just wondering why you'd bring up being broke? Those two are nowhere near the same type of capital.

Or did you just bring up Short because you wanted to dis on him?
