James Bradberry

He's not the most talented corner to be sure.  It frustrates me when I see the ball is thrown his way, and he has his back to it.  Yet all that said, he has plenty of grit.  He got beat baaaaaaaaaaaaaad by Alshon at the end there.  To have the mindset to say "F-it" and get that pass interference call, in that situation, bravo!!!!!  As a football fan, I actually have mixed feelings about it, but what he did was absolutely fair and within the rules.  As a Panther fan, I cheer for this brother!!!!!!!!!  Great play!

Jeffrey took that man to school.  I'm not concerned, ish happens, but it was bad.  Good thing for us is we don't play any receiver as good as Jeffrey for awhile.  And by awhile, I mean until we play Evans in 2 weeks and Brown in 3 weeks.

Gonna disagree with you there. Scheme or not, 4.5/6 speed is not going to keep you pace for pace with many NFL wideouts. Bradberry was bailed out.

He runs sub 4.5, the issue is that they play the CBs too soft with 10 yds off the line.

Need to play more press in zone and man.

and Jeffrey is one of the best receivers in the game.  There's not a lot of shame in struggling against him.

Nothing to celebrate about his performance today.  He was a huge reason the defense gave up 17 points early and Jeffrey isn't a burner, so it should've been a more reasonable cover for him...  but it wasn't.

I have reached my limit with him.  Sure, he showed grit and bounced back for that deflection from Jeffrey late, but again, he gave up a TON today.  And he has zero ball skills.  ZERO.

Now that we have what appears to be a legit shutdown corner developing in Jackson, we really need to look into a solid cover corner at the #2, bc as long as Bradberry is there, they're gonna pick on him.  Gettleman's outstanding drafting abilities continue to appreciate for us...

Where were the Safety(ies) that should have been playing deep middle? That’s the problem.

Interestingly enough, I thought we were playing our safeties deep for most of the game today, allowing those quick slants in the middle of the field.  I don't blame the coaching staff too much for not having a safety back there on that play, but it's kind of ironic to me.

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone and we have Taylor Moton inked to a recent extension. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
