What we know after tonight

Washington has no business having a job. This wasn't just getting beat soundly, this was being inept. There is no excuse to give up that many points that easily.

CMC is our best offensive player. Dude single-handedly carried us on our drives.

Our offensive line is not prepared to face elite level pass rushing.

Our DBs are not prepared to face elite level receivers across the board. Juju and AB are tough draws, and that leaves space for TEs and slot guys.

Ron Rivera has to see that his conservative, hold onto the ball strategy is three decades ago, not current year NFL. The Steelers did what we should be doing, hang as many points as you can, demoralize the other team, rest your starters for most of the 4th quarter. Also, in terms of bad decision making, leaving your starters on the field in a blowout to possibly get hurt. If Cam had been injured in that, I'd be calling for Rivera's head. As it stands, I'll settle for Washington walking back to Charlotte and then clearing his office out.

Tough game on a short week. Lick our wounds, fire Washington, and Rivera needs to hand Norv the keys to all offensive strategy and be the acting DC. Get ready for Detroit.

Defense is straight trash

KK Shorts face need to be on the back of a milk Carton

We cant get to the QB which leads to

Our DC is trash..........rushing 2?!?! Hahahahaha thats about as bad as gameplanning rushing only 3 vs the worst OL in football where the QB has gotten Killed this year, and letting Eli sit all day untouched and keep it a game

Our DL gave Big Ben Dam near 10 seconds and created holes so big Trent Richardson couldve found them and 2016 Tolbert wouldve got through untouched

The OL showed they wernt quite as good as we thought.  Cant block elite rushers and cant figure out a blitz to save their life, but hey who can blame them when they are practicing agaknst only 2-3 man rushing schemes vs 7

Cam despite getting murdered had a Good game

CMC is a weapon.

And some coaches seats are going to be hot

Tepper talked all week showing up at practice how important this game is to him, then go out and embarrass him like that with possibly the worst azzkicking this team has ever had

Serious here not being a dick....

Have you actually analyzed this team objectively to include the new DC, OC, existing HC and his philosophy.
OL, DL

What we truly know: The record says 6-3 but reality tells me this is a 4-5 team without a miracle field goal and epic collapse by the Eagles. The Panthers will probably not make the playoffs unless the defense is replaced by the 2013 defense

It's still just one game... I know it sucks bad, but trying be an optimist, it's better it happen now if it means fixing the defense than to happen in January.

    • I don't think it was fear of the unknown because he tried to hide the extent of the injuries that made him drop. After the drop, the reports I heard were that teams knew what was wrong with his knee and it was something similar to another athlete from a few years ago (honestly don't remember if it was even a football player).  That it was basically one of those things where he should be fine for a while, there isn't a huge concern of immediate injury risk.   But what he has going on with his knee is something that is degenerative and there's little chance he'll be able to play more than 5 or so years on it before he won't be able to play anymore. So basically it was teams knowing if they draft him, he's probably going to be only a rookie contract player and even if he's great, you might not be able to get use out of him on a second contract.  Which in turn makes the drop make sense, but I'm kinda surprised some contending team didn't take him late in the 1st, hoping he'd put them over the top on a SB run but then not even have to worry about giving him a big contract in 4 years too.
    • Depends if they see the writing on the wall with their roster and contracts and decide to bite the bullet and begin a complete rebuild and roster overhaul.  I have no clue why some franchises (IE us) refuse to do this and keep half assing trying to win 8 games or so.  Do it correctly, take your lumps and build a contender.  We shall see what loomis decides.
    • Each team plays 17 games.  I do not see why they don't just have each team play one international game per year.  Neutral site game, 8 home, 8 away.
