What Is Your Record Prediction Now That 1/2 Season is Done?

I know its 9 games instead of 8 , but that Pittsburgh game felt like a pretty definite dividing mark, so I'll say the first half of the season was done with that loss. We have 7 games left, 4 of those are huge divisional matchups, and 6 of the 7 are NFC matchups . Falcons are only 2 games behind us and they have the tie breaker. Seahawks are only 2 games behind us and if they beat us they will have the tie breaker if our records end up being tied at the end of the season.

I think we did well to go 6-3 . Pittsburgh and at Atlanta could have been penciled in losses anyway,  we stole one in Philly. The only real blemish on the first half of our schedule is the Redskins game, which could really end up fuging us over for wild card positioning. We have the same record as the skins right now and of course they own the tie breaker.

I think we can't afford any more than 2 more losses if we want to defintely get in the playoffs, any more than that we're playing with fire with all of these tie breakers we dont own.

Here's my prediction :

- At Detroit Lions : W (7 - 3)

- Vs Seattle Seahawks : W (8 - 3)

- At Tampa Bay Buccaneers : W (9 - 3)

- At Cleveland Browns : W (10 - 3)

- Vs New Orleans Saints : W (11 - 3)

- Vs Atlanta Falcons : W( 12 - 3)

- At New Orleans Saints: L (12 - 4)

I think we go on a huge run after the Pittsburgh game embarrased us badly.  I think every single one of these games is winnable besides the last one vs the Saints is a big problem and might end up being the deciding game for the division. Wouldn't it be shitty to be a  wild card at 12 - 4? Thats the NFC for you.

More realistically we'll probably have an additional loss somewhere in there that you wont expect at all, like at Browns. That would put us at 11 - 5 and probably not much different situationally though in the playoffs since they are an AFC opponent.

In the highly unlikely situation where we would win out and the Saints lose their games against us, that would put both the Panthers and Saints at 13 - 3 but the Panthers would own the tie breaker and have the division crown. That is really what the team should be shooting for and we should be hoping to get extremely hot and blaze through everyone else on the remaining schedule.

I think we lose both saints games and one of ATL, Cleveland, Detroit or Seattle.

10-6.

Worth noting, if we drop the first saints game, they may rest starters in the 2nd, depending on how the rams do. Also, Atlanta could be mathematically eliminated by the time we play them, which would make losing that game a better result for them (similar to that bucs game where we went for 2 and missed it). I’m trying to say that insanely tough finish may not be as awful as previously thought.

I could see that happening. Saints are a huge obstacle.

10-6.  As much as people are going to hate this, I think we drop both to the Saints...right now they are the hottest team in the NFC and Brees is playing out of his mind + their running game is almost impossible to stop.  I think we drop one to Seattle as well....as much as that pains me to admit living in Tacoma Washington.  They have the top rushing offense and Wilson always seems to get all the lucky breaks against us in the passing game and generally we have struggled against mobile QB's ( Wilson is one of the most elusive out of the pocket ).  I can see Jesus Juice winning in a close offensive game.

No reason we should not beat Detroit, Tampa, Browns ( this one scares me a little ) and I really believe we take it to ATL in the second game ( lets see how they do against the Saints ).

If the Saints end up beating us twice again this season...I hope that means that we take it to them in the playoffs and would be sweet revenge after these past 2 seasons.

11-5 we’ll split the Falcons and Saints series’, winning at home but have a feeling we unfortunately drop one of the next 4. If we get through these 4 without a loss though I’d say 12-4. Really do not see us losing to Aints at home or Falcons at home, not this year.

If we really loose 5 times in a row to the Saints that would be really depressing and I would have little faith in the coaching staff ever figuring out how to beat them

I agree we have to win at least one of those games or I might join the fire RR club

I said 9-7 at the start of the year and will stick with that.  Good enough to break the back to back winning seasons curse but not good enough for the playoffs

I think we beat the Seahawks, Bucs and Falcons with losses to Cleveland, Detroit and New Orleans twice.

    • Florida is the only team that would be doing that to us, and it happens when we are down Chatty, Walker isn't 100% and our top players are being molested in plain view on the ice. Florida is bigger and just as fast as we are, they have the two biggest agitating arseholes in the NHL in Marchand and Tkachuk, have a solid coach and a lot of nice pieces that make that team the best in the East by a good margin this year and possibly back to back Cup champions.  I fail to mention Zito who has been aggressive in getting Marchand and Seth Jones plus other players at the deadline to fill in any weaknesses. We have taken the long term, we have a shot every year approach and keep coming up short.  This is the summer to come away with the last needed pieces and if that takes sacrificing some prospects and picks we have to do it.  We have Freddie who is a very good goalie, but I still think young Kooch needs more time - he shows flashes but he still isn't right between the ears yet. This is definitely it for Orlov, not sure about Burns although he has looked it the last half of the season.  It would be nice to be able to get rid of KK somehow.  Svech has never become the guy I thought he'd be so a pure scorer would be nice.  I still like where this organization is EVEN with RBA coaching.  Do we discredit everything the guy has done in years where we weren't supposed to make the playoffs let alone win some series etc??  We need a bit more size, but I like we added Walker, Carrier, and Robinson who all had some good experience and didn't mind showing some grit.  Who's Back:    Forwards:  Aho, Svech, Jarvy, Blake, Hall, Carrier, Staal, Marty, Stankoven (need to sign to a bridge at least), KK  (really need to trade him this summer or next year for sure, his NMC kicks in 26-27) Defensemen:  Slavin, Walker, Chatty, Ghost, Nikishin, Morrow Goalies:  Freddy, Koochy Potential: Forwards:   Nadeau (he was like a -20 in Chicago so he'll have to really earn Rod's trust), Robidas, FUS didn't have a great season, Bring back Roslovic?, Jost for cheap?? Defensemen:  Technically Nikishin and Morrow, but I have them replacing Orlov and Burns above, Honka, Probably will sign one who plays good D and doesn't break the bank Goalies:  Khazheyev?, Sign one possibly?? tl;dr:  Bottom line is we are definitely going to need to sign a Defenseman or two, and 2-3 Forwards with 2 being scorers and hopefully taller than 6'0".  We have really good depth at forward, we are thinning out at D, and our goalies.....I am just not sure.
    • You never really know when a team is going to turn a corner and make a deep playoff run.  I say take a swing, this could be like Tillman in 2015
    • Have they said when the Blueprint Draft episode is going to be released? Kinda weird to put out the teaser but not a date for it, already itching to watch all the T-Mac stuff
