A new offensive minded head coach that hires Wilkes as his DC?

Sure, all for it.

Everything you said minus Wilkes.

He wasn’t very good.

course he didn’t have much talent on the backend to work with and I guess he isn’t Washington level bad...

But, still, I’d rather our new HC bring in his own guy. Someone that has nothing to do with the current regime.

Feeling by those in AZ media, including one of their most reliable reporters, is that Wilkes has lost the team and just isn't HC material.  Say Washington gets the boot would you welcome him back with open arms?  I thought he over-relied on the blitz but he was/is lightyears better than Washington.

I am not a fan for the reason you provide, but I would love to get him back on staff.

No thanks.

No more retreads or coaches that have been here before.

When Ron is canned....I want a full refresh from Tepper. If I'm going with a former Arizona DC, I'd see what Todd Bowles is up to after he gets the boot in NY.

Bowles at DC would actually be awesome.

    • Even if he beats the odds, returns midseason  and plays like he did last year it won’t warrant a big contract extension.
    • It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
