What's with all the 9-7 playoff talk?

Ok let's be realistic.

Point 1. Washington no longer runs our D, and Rivera shown himself capable of holding back Tampa at the end of the game.

Point 2.  Our kicker had issues and they tried out other kickers, they are actively looking for answers.

Point 3.  Funchess drops cost us the game, they run offense through CMC/Moore/Samuel. Good call on that.

As I see it our main problems have been addressed and we should improve going forward.  Hopefully.

Well, if you wanted to, you could convince yourself this game will be the first one with Rivera as DC. If the defense returns to Rivera like (usually his units were top 10) with the offense continuing to score points, and Gano comes out of his funk, you could think we've got a chance.

If you wanted to.

I'm willing to risk my Panthers breaking my heart again.

I haven’t given up, man. I’m up at 530a to catch a flight to Cleveland right now. I’m just saying I’ve done the walk of shame out of five away stadiums this year so my confidence is low. But I’m still here for it if they decide to turn it around because I agree that they can, if they get it together

I’m going to cheer for us to win even though I want us to lose. I’m just done with Rivera and have wanted him gone since 2016. I’m to the point where I want everyone that had anything to do with Jerry Richardson gone. I’m ready to see what David Teppers Panthers are all about.

Okay okay I guess if that's the scenario everyone is rolling with, I can understand. Minnesota loses to Seattle this weekend and we beat the Browns. We beat the Saints at home on MNF which makes the Bears feel they actually have a shot to gain the 2 seed. They keep their foot on the gas and win in Minnesota week 17 sending the Vikings to 8-7-1. I get it. As I said, we're not catching Seattle. But if this is what folks are holding on to, let's get it!!!

It's called denial. This board is full of it and since Friday is here, they're willing to forget what happened last week. This team can't even win one fuging game to boost its' confidence. But FFS if we beat cleveland you will see posts on Sunday at 4:30 PM that we're winning out b/c some people are just fuging stupid.

Why would you want to quit when we are 1/2 game out with four to go?

It’s not about quitting it’s about thinking for the future. Cam is not healthy and everyone we play knows it. They know our o-line is average at best and will be gunning for that shoulder.

Is it worth playing Cam the rest knowing one hit could end his season and maybe career?

Cam’s condition is the same it was week 6. Did you want to shut him down then? And one hit isn’t going to end his career any more than it normally would. Seriously, where did you even get that from?

I am in Cleveland gonna be at the game and at the 2 remaining home games. Maybe some of you want to roll over and quit. But for me I am gonna do what I do every game which is root and yell for my team. I am glad we have a team in Charlotte and think they deserve our support win or lose. Don't understand the quitter loser attitude from folks on this board who call themselves fans. Hoping we tank to get a better draft pick is loser mentality and a fallacy especially when every draft you see players taken in later rounds that play better than many chosen in the top 10. And if Cam can't go bring in Heinicke and keep going. This team is about more than one player even if it is our quarterback. Norv's system is not reliant solely on Cam. Honestly I bet Heinicke could do well in it. He gets all the practice reps all week already.
