I was entirely in until the part about Cam. He's fine. I think what he needs more than anything regarding his deep ball is a consistently clean pocket.

His shoulder is obviously bothering him though and I'd be absolutely fine if we shut him down this minute for the rest of the season.

Here's my plan for the offseason: Fire everyone. Get a new forward thinking GM and coach. No fuging re-treads I swear if I hear Bill Cowher one more time. Cut Matt Kalil no matter the cap hit. Cut/move on from all the old vets: Ryan, Cap, etc. Tell TD and Olsen they're welcome back if they take a paycut for the better of the team. Tell Devin Funchess to pack his things and enjoy Detroit.  Sign the best tackle we can afford in FA. Spend the draft on the following positions: DE, FS, NB, DE, G Maybe in that order.

Don't let Cam throw until training camp.

Only thing that worries me with McCarthy is he also seemed slow to adjust over his tenure in GB.  And he completely neglected the defense pretty much every year.

You'd be trading one coach propped up by a tremendously talented QB for another coach who had been propped up by a tremendously talented QB.

It’s been a tough few weeks for us to say the least. I want to apologize to all of our true fans. For all of you that feel like I’m the problem “to old, to slow, lost a step, cant cover, I’ve heard it all. I’ll take full responsibility for it all! #BlameMe

We have a ton of needs

The D-line is horrible, we get no pressure unless we blitz. I think we need a big name free agent, Demarcus Lawrence or Clowney

The o-line is a mess, watch the 22 film, our interior o-line is getting bullied weekly, Cam has no pocket to step into. Clark is awful and we are stuck with Kalil. So we need a new Center and RG and maybe LT.

Adams and Reid are disasters, I’m tired of horrible safeties that can’t cover squat.

I actually agree with the Cam sentiment but I'm not ready to say adios by any means.  The lack of zip on even the intermediate throws is what I find concerning.  He has always been spotty with hitting guys deep-in-stride but excelled with the medium level throws in the seams, sidelines, and slants.  Now, even those ones are floating and it's not a knock on him personally, he's just banged up right now.  Question is how much power and strength can the titan of a man get back.

Also--Van Roten and Clark looked good earlier this year but they've gotten hit by a wall of reality as of late.

Legit Needs:

DE, Safety (1-2), DT, OLB, LT, LG, Nickel, TE (Ian looks solid but why stop with him?)

We need a stud pass rusher in the worst kind of way right meow.

Meow.

RR tried Cam the pocket passer to preserve his health and we all saw that this didn’t work.

christ almighty none of you people who say 'cam's not a pocket passer' literally have never watched cam.

pretty sure there's a statistic cam rarely has scrambled and thrown out of the pocket for like 80%+ of his snaps. he's always been a pocket passer and those who haven't been able to see that astound me.

I've watched just about every game the Panthers have ever played.

In 2016, the Panthers told Cam not to run and stay in the pocket and his completion percentage was 52.9%.  I hope Cam comes back healthy and has another MVP year, but he won't accomplish this without using his legs.
