Davis hints at playing elsewhere

Mr. Scot

After all we have done for him by sticking with him when he was injured and paying him big money when nobody else wanted him, if he wants to nickel and dime us here at the end he can hit the road. Would love to keep him, but if he's got an inflated sense of self worth then he can go chase another big payday elsewhere.

Love you TD but... 3 ACL tears and 3 years of full salary when you were rehabbing

I think you can play on the cheap for us for one year.

If not, seriously thank you for being a stand up guy and good luck with the (hopefully) AFC team you play with.

Does the team feel either of the two rookies have starter potential? Will they draft one that does or sign one in FA? If no to both, keep him here.

Rivera has a love affair for them, but he may not be here. I know they've had big trouble getting ANY LBs here cause luke, TD and Shaq. Agents and the crews around these players want playing time, that's not available here. Thus no juicy contract is waiting.

During pre-season, Smith was waaay ahead of carter. Then Smith had a hamstring issue, Carter leaped him at that point. I have heard praise form teammates and it did not sound like the typical teammate BS. I believe they are high on both, but some similar could be said if you replaced Jeremy Cash with their names. Lots of comments about IQ, football IQ on both.

if he walks he'll have about as much impact as Jstew did in his post-Panthers career.  Richardson would have already inked him to some guaranteed money after TD asked in one of their Sunday supper get-togethers, and I don't think negotiating through the media is going to play well with the new boss.

This is how I feel. If he’s more interested in chasing a paycheck, I regret defending him as much as I have for years.

Our roster of players who spent their whole careers here has to be worse than every other team’s. Kalil, Gross, CJ, Minter, Rucker, Goings, Gamble, Hoover, those are about it. Crazy.

There are some pretty good players on that list and Carolina has only existed in the salary cap era, so I'd bet this type of list is fairly comparable to many teams over the same period.
