What a lousy strategy

The Rams’ offense gave the Patriots’ defense a big advantage in Super Bowl LIII by running exactly what New England was expecting.

That’s the word from Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy, who said on Pardon My Take that he was shocked by the way the Rams did everything the Patriots had prepared for and never tried to surprise them by trying something different.

“I couldn’t believe that,” Van Noy said. “They really didn’t do one wrinkle. I was like, ‘What the hell?’ They’ve got so many good players. They’ve got so many things they’ve done all year, and the one play they gave us which was a wrinkle was the [Brandin Cooks] screen that hit for a little bit. And that was it.”

Geez, what a dumbass decision.  I can't believe an NFL head coach was stupid enough to do something like that

Yea who knew that preparing for the SB isn't like preparing for a regular season game where you can't just watch 100% of the film on your opponent.

Oh yea and how does this coincide with division games being tough no matter how good which team is for most years? hmmmm so hard right? SOOOO HARD this math...rofl

The Patriots will always have an advantage that they can adjust to the season and injuries while still winning their division every year. Make no mistake life is easy in a bad division.

Well to be fair although Peyton sucked in the regular season he was great in those playoffs despite the physical limitations. His brain is arguably the best of all time at the QB position and he essentially coordinated his own offense on the field in real time, that’s no easy task to defend even with his arm being shot at the time...

I guess it shows that the first time you coach in a Superbowl it is hard to abandon what brought you there in favor of a new and different game plan. Unless you are the Patriots and you know from experience you have to change things up given teams have 2 weeks to dissect the opponent and prepare to stop their usual offense and defense.

If it ain't broke dont fix it sounds great till you realize the SB is not like a normal game or even a playoff game. Screw loose and have fun. Go in with blinders focused and mean. You can go and enjoy the experience when others are playing in it. Winning a championship is the goal, not having an experience. Party after winning. Leave the BS to the fans and weirdos that show up that dont even like football.
