2003 Panther appreciation thread (Warning video may cause tears)

Yeah it’s a lazy rainy Sunday, and I felt the need to have another appreciation thread during the slow time of the offseason. Let’s all appreciate how special the season was with Jake the snake, Davis, Foster, Smitty, Muhammad, Jenkins, Pep, Minter etc. I have never been so proud of a Panther team as I was that year. ALL THE FEELS! What was your favorite memory of that special season?

Low blow,....

whats worst?

This one, 1996 Green Bay NFC when we were rolling along beating the unbeatable or 2015 when we are steamrolling all the best only to get Goatfcuked?

i don’t know— 2015 probably felt like the Rams fans watching their team this year.

1996 was the first real emotions felt for the Panthers— I was watching with a lot of Marines in a land far far away with them being die hard Minni, Phili, Frisco fans...

2003,.. damn you John Kasay.

Over achievers, we don't get that around here anymore.

They weren't overachievers, the team was legit. The only question mark was QB and maybe secondary. The offense was loaded, as was the front seven.

I agree except I don't think QB was a question. Not in 2003 at least. The playoff run Jake had that year was brilliant.

My favorite team. They did overachieve IMO. Supposed to be dead meat in St Louis, and then went to Philly and just took it. People were not expecting that.

If the Pats had not had our plays, if Fox hadn't stupidly chased 2 points, if Kasay had done his job, if Manning Jr had not have slipped in the last possession..... maybe we don't have to listen to crap from every sorry fan whose team has won one.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
