The Roaring Riot posted an interesting article yesterday on the case for Kalil being on the roster in 2019 and why cutting him now might not be the best move....

Yeah I read that also.   I said it about 2 months ago.  Our Starting LT will be Speedbump McGee in 2019 wether we like it or not.

I predict we go defense in the 1st round and pick up a developmental Tackle in the draft.  Also we are not resigning Williams.

Sooo we should pull a Indy with Luck and sit Cam for the year.

Because if thats the plan going forward.  Cam isnt going to be in the plans after about week 4 of this upcoming season and we will be back in the race to draft a QB rd 1 of next year

Letting a starting RT who has been Good walk because you cant afford him be ahse you wont cut a guy, who wont even play, post june 1 and save the 7 mil that could go to Williams.

This organization deserves to lose if that happens

They're just going to have to help him like they did Williams before.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
